ANKARA: Pakistan’s first indigenously built F-22 frigate ‘PNS ASLAT’ will be visiting Gölcük Naval Base in Turkey from October 22-25, 2013, and will participate in various harbour and sea exercises with the Turkish Navy. PNS ASLAT was commissioned in Pakistan Navy (PN) on April 17, 2013, and is the fourth ship of SWORD Class Frigates added in PN inventory. This friendly sojourn by PNS ASLAT to Gölcük Naval Base will further strengthen existing bilateral ties.

The old good days...Gölcük Naval Base . . . HQ of many importants sub-commands of TNF such as the Battle Fleet Command, SAT&SAS Group Command...etc. Naval Aviation Group Command's simulators are also at that base. Good news.

Off topic: One of the best land part of the World. You can pass through to BlackSea by ship after taking permission to pass Dardanelles and Bosphorus straits seperating Asia continent from Europe. You can watch light shows of Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Bogaziçi Bridges as well while passing. Unfortunately, Yavuz Sultan Selim is under construction.

Really OHPs are better and PN men loves it a lot. F-22P suits more to BN and selling them is better with 2 FACs.
