Currently? It doesn't. In the middle term, say by 2050? China will become the undisputed power in the region, which is what regional powers and nations are worried about. Once China gets to that point, they can pretty much do whatever they want without having to worry about consequences.

I'd say there is definitely a fear factor, as the current Chinese carrier groups have no practical experience, so there is no data on how well they'd do. At the very least, there is probably a lack of confidence within China's navy , even if nationalism is at its all time highest. Unless we see them use their carriers in actual combat, we won't know how capable they are.

Let's put it like this, if China was confident, Taiwan would be under a Chinese naval blockade as we speak.

A naval blockade brings untold suffering to civilians. China considers Taiwanese civilians as Chinese citizens even though currently they are not. China is not cruel enough to naval blockade Taiwan. If war happens, Taiwanese military targets who fight to the death would be systematically destroyed and the war ends with minimal collateral damage to civilians.

Last time I check, this is a military forum and there is sub forum call China Defence Fourm. Folks did a great job there to update the CSG movement. So don't ask this low IQ tard question again at here.

China's CSG is deployed in East/South China Sea for training and roaming around all the time. They are prepare for future confrontation with US/Taiwan. China does not waste their money to deploy CSG to the other end of earth with borrowed planes and ships.
