@doppelganger You've got the goosebumps bit right. Even when we had to skip the morning assembly for track practice or a project as senior students- we would always end up hearing the faint reverberations of the anthem being sung- even more so the absolute silence that preceded it for a few moments, 3000 students in absolute silence- you couldn't miss it. We had a large school and even half a km away in the comp lab you knew it was time- rongte khade ho jate hai and you just had to stand up and sing- you just couldn't help it.

Yes man, its such a lovely sight watching every Indian stand up in unison, uncles, aunties, heros, chicks, kids, buddha, buddhi (you should see how enthusiastically they struggle on to their feet. That is the generation which remembers what it means not to take freedom and a nation of your own for granted.) everyone. Standing straight, belting out the anthem.

Balls I will stand by if ANYONE remains sitting.

@Oscar Sir why are there Pakistani members who buy the myth of the F-16s having inbuilt regulator thingamajig that stops it cold from being used for any purpose that the US might frown upon? Zaid Hamid's theory?
