Nope, either they use .22lr which is strong enough to knock them over, or some people prefer a well placed shot with .22 air gun, some prefer the shotgun

Once you shot them you have to slaughter them with knife, i dont know about others but when i was a kid my uncle use to take me with him, once he shoot them with shotgun, than quickly run to the bird and slaughter with the knife
