It would be even funnier, if he condemns the Indian state, when they yield and shamelessly recognize the Taliban themselves..

India first always.
Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who is often in the news over his political views, has slammed Indian Muslims who have been celebrating the Taliban and said they should question their beliefs.

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who is more in the news for his political views rather than his acting chops these days, has slammed the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. He also condemned Indian Muslims who have been celebrating the Taliban.
Soon enough, Naseeruddin Shah earned both bouquets and brickbats on social media for his views on the Taliban.
In the video, Naseeruddin Shah says, “Even as the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan is a cause for concern for the whole world, there are celebrations among some sections of Indian Muslims. This celebration of the barbarians is no less dangerous.”
Naseeruddin Shah urged all Indian Muslims to question themselves if they want to “reform Islam, support modernity, or live with the barbaric traditions and values”.
The actor went ahead to draw comparisons between the Islam practised in India to that in the other parts of the world to note that ‘Hindustani Islam’ has always been different.
“May Allah not bring a time when it changes so much that we cannot even recognise it,” said Naseeruddin Shah in the video.
While some on Twitter heaped praises on Naseeruddin Shah for taking a stand against the celebrations surrounding the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, others have slammed him saying “he should stick to films and steer clear of topics he has no knowledge about... A non-practicing Muslim wants Islam to reform. I wish he had first practiced Islam before coming up with this appalling suggestion.”
Another user called Naseeruddin Shah “an atheist” using his “Muslim identity for self-promotion”. On the other hand, many others have come out in support of Naseeruddin Shah.

Neither Hitler nor Taliban have my favor. What I speak for is the liberty to hold individual opinions that do not have to conform with societal narrative. The esteemed Bollywood actor is well within his right to voice his opinion of the Taliban. But to berate people for their opinion this way reminds me of Hilary's 'basket of deplorables' comment. These type of statements are immature and can often result in the opposite of the intended effect. Not necessarily
Many people in our nation think Hitler was our ally given he was the against British and aid Bose , the least one can do is educate them about Nazis and their opinions about people from the subcontinent
Every man can choose to cheer whomever they want to cheer for. Preaching others about whom they are expected to support is immature.
The only real expectation from citizens is to obey the rule of law.
What if the rule of law states that if you cheer for terrorists you are liable to be punished ?
Since you are cheering for their ideology which has killed many and eventually helping them.
Your unfortunate obsession of comparing BJP/RSS with Taliban just expose your ultimate victimhood mentality and helplessness. The need for desperate false equivalency among other religions just shows your vulnerability.......Obviously the rule of law does not say that otherwise 80% of India would have to be punished for supported the terrorist BJP and RSS
