Mughals would have done that if they were capable to do so. The fact is inorder to rule, they put an end to the conflicts. It was our kings fault actually when they joined mughals. They should have allied with each other and forced the invaders out and saved the subcontinent from a lot of misery, plundering, & destruction of important monuments associated with our identity. But alas,the greed, dishonesty and division of the various kings caused the common masses so much suffering which infact extends to this day.
