Myanmar Signs Agreement For Six Russian Su-30 Warplanes

Where is BD's leadership???? What else can they do other than speaking ill of Pak Ordu and Urdu??! When they had ex-Pak Ordu folks, well versed in Urdu, at the helms they had some chances!!!!! Now, they can't even take decisions to have more than 8 front line fighters!!!! And, those too are dependent on the Indian parts!!!!! Heavens give a break!!!!!!

We need to have some little patience.

Are you aware that BD will start building the first of 6 4000+ tonne frigates this year? The specs are likely to include AESA Multi-function radar and 32-cell VLS that can take an array of air-defence, anti-ship, land attack and anti-sub missiles.
Just a couple of these frigates deployed near the northern and southern portions of the Arakhan coastline will render the whole of the Arakan a death-trap for the Myanmarese pilots. They will be crapping in their pants as the massive radars lock on them with abandon.
Yes, BD needs to hurry up and order some new fighter aircraft but when they come they will be far more numerous and advanced than anything Myanmar has.
Let Myanmar spend their precious resources on buying these toys that will only harm their economy while BD keeps growing it's economy, improving it's infrastructure and builds a world class military by 2030.

Even the design process will take 2-3 years for the construction of a new frigate.

Wind tunnel test alone will take several months to year.

Actual construction of the first one will take at least 5 years to becompleted.

So the whole process for the construction of the first frigate will take atleast 8 years.

For the second, third and fourth ones, it would take 3 years each coz you have only one proper shipyard.

You have to wait almost 17 years to get your four-frigates fleet.

Above all, regarding the assistance from the Dutch, there are no credible information yet.

The dream of threatening the Rakhine State with only four frigates is just ridiculous.

They can speak ill of China too. :enjoy:

And they shouldn't have bought those old trainer submarines, they should have gone for proper combat submarines like the Yuan class that Pakistan and Thailand have been acquiring.

An AIP submarine can turn off its engines and sit on the ocean floor, virtually undetectable, until an enemy ship passes overhead. Even a single one can scare off an entire surface fleet if they don't know its location.

And you know more than BD Navy?
They say 6 will all be completed by 2030.
Another shipyard can be set up to build two simultaneously if required.
These ships are going to be carrying radars that can track fighters from hundreds of kms and carry missiles of over 100km range. Two of these powerful frigates parked a few tens of kilometres of the Arakan coast can turn the whole state into a no-fly zone.
BN is going to turn into a world class Navy and will hunt your airforce for fun. Keep buying more planes and exhaust your puny 70-80 US billion economy as this will be nothing in front of what BD is doing.

BD had no money to buy new submarines back in 2014.

plz name ur missile and radar. lol u have been awarded ''crown of the year ''.

The purchase of both the JF-17 and SU-30 in just over a year means that Myanmar is a frightened rogue.
nope. as i said many times. Myanmar is going its plan to be modernized armed force. BTW where is ur Su-30 , or ToT of MiG 35 and J-10C ? we heard it since last a few years and how is the progress ? :D
our Su-30 will be delivered at the end of next year or start of 2019.

They have a number of ''Going to Be'' and ''will'' acquisition plans, most were never materialized.

6 frigates by 2030 have been confirmed by BD Navy. It has been confirmed they will be built at Chittangong shipyard.
Just a case of selecting the partner which seems like it will be EU.
Keep buying more Russian planes as they will be just target practice for the AESA MFR and long-range SAM combo.
End of the day BD is 3.5X richer and will come to totally dominate Myanmar when it's military modernisation is complete by 2030.

yeah, just like ur procuremnet of super advnced kilo class submarine..just like ur upgradation of mandpad equipped frigates..just like ur "contruction of banana class super advnced destroyer"..

That sums up all of Indian military developments. Anyway, now I think Bangladesh will quicken its selection of the fighter jets. You might hear some news on it soon.

Lets hope so.

In any case, the most important thing is economic, infrastructure and human development.

At the same time, its apparent BD needs to upgrade her military.

Its laughable at this point. Watching that TV video with the 3 armed forces represented however does not
give me any confidence.
