In 2-3 years time, Pragoti will be producing and exporting cars, if i read the article properly....and hence its quite obvious that India will be the first preference for steel import....

Cheers!!!

It would be rather fascinating to see Bangladeshi cars rolling on Indian streets.Definitely going to be popular in West Bengal and the north eastern states. It would feel like something of our own in this South Asian subcontinent.
Soaps and other cosmetics products are already sold in West Bengal.I had seen a soap name "Keya" in the malls and shops here in West Bengal.I think it has Bangladeshi origin. Can someone verify it???

Yes Keya is Bangladeshi origin....!!

Btw, about the car issue....i dont think India will import Sedans from us as you already have an established automobile industry and distributing that to the people will anyway be cheaper then importing....moreover, the factor of 'brand loyalty' would also influence this decision....

Cheers!!!

But still, probably he's richer than you or I. Tadao Ando a renowned master architect of the contemporary world was also a truck driver.

The situation may not be quite what you think.Indian buyers are primarily concerned about performance, quality and after-sale support when comes to buying vehicles.People here do a serious comparison between that Mahindra Logan and Honda City before buying one.People here do a serious comparison between that Yamaha FZS and Bajaj Pulsar before eventually buying one.If a Bangladeshi company can deliver all these, then why not????No one here thinks of the country of origin before buying a product. It just has to meet the standards.
The 'brand loyality' factor is there. But then how many average buyer do you see in this subcontinent who buy a brand new car or bike every other year off the shelf????

A truck driver?? Wow..must have been quite a success story..

One day I went to a local shop to buy some stationary goods. Now I use only two brands of soap, the first one being Cinthol,a green soap that comes in a red paper packet(it has never changed I think),and the other one being Park Avenue. Both are characterized with a strong and long lasting smell(I do sweat a lot). Now I saw those Keya soaps in the shelves with name written in Bengali.I bought them just out of curiosity. They were even cheaper than what I normally use.I found them to be pretty good, well, may be they are not actually meant for a guy like me,may be they are primarily meant for the girls, but they were good nonetheless.

I hope bilateral trade increases between India and Bangladesh in the near future......

Knowing that the leg work was done in BNP era and now 'Burmese Dilly/Dully' was taken cared off, would AWAMY Dalals take the fast track route to unsuffocate us? 4-7 yrs of implementation time didn't seem having right intention compare to giving India transit, port, rail link in the blink of eyes.

Did not actually mean to creep you out with a story of shopping for a soap. But then,it was not specifically meant for you either.
