My nightmare experience of applying for a German visa in Karachi

What can I say , normally such behavior is controlled by Local Authorities where the embassy lies to look out for complaints by People visiting the Embassy.

And the Representative from Pakistan (Interior Minister) should be contacting the German Embassy for clarification for the difficulties of Pakistani Citizens visiting the German embassy on Pakistan's home soil

If Service levels are not improved shut it down. For violation of Rules for Country of Pakistan

Those workers are here to do "SERVICE" to Pakistani citizens , serve them not start bull shitting

People with slave mentality would agree to get treated or called Third world , anyone calls me Third world , I will tell him - YOUR MAMA

Turn off the AIRCONDITION - electricity and let the German Embassy enjoy some hot warm Pakistani Weather !!!

True , issue is ministers or other political ppl will be treated nicely so they will never under stand how the common man is treated. It is just like roads , where the ministers area will be well paved and rest of them filled with pot holes. Obviously ministers wont see any thing wrong as they never travel by that path.

Forget about cutting power, these embassies would already be violating local jurisdiction laws. When they know that they can violate law willfully they will have no qualms in treating you in bad manner, as any way law will not be enforced. Just enforcing the law strictly will bring them to their senses.

Most of you posters are not reading between the lines and have a knee jerk reaction--.

There was no reason for him to bring his kids to the consulate---they were being raucious and running around without control without supervision---and the Prof says---they were being kids---maybe in you house but not at a consulate---.

That was the trigger that started it all.

Plus he did not read his application properly---family is not granted visa at the same time---but after his arrival in the country---he requests a visa for them.

True very true,I know little boys like my age 20+ go around sometimes passing black jokes.
But truth is even I'm a white from north that doesn't matter to say but I have to say that we don't have color problems in Pakistan.
What I really think is the guy who wrote the problem should simply try to resolve the issue himself,because the people are there to help and if that's not happening hey you've got Geo news Neo news and Whatever news to fire up your case which I think the guy really didn't.

Bhai there is need to expose such incidents; yes sending complaints to the concerned authorities might have worked but the author's intention was to bring into lime-light the sad state of affairs met by Pakistanis at the embassy.

Bhai Just saying why are you taking you're family along?I belong from a family that could've perhaps settle anywhere on earth Germany or Canada but my Father decided not to.It's just the usual family dreams and social Pakistani problems

My empathies are with the author..but let us question ourselves..how are we treated in our government offices and banks? Don't they treat you in the same manner how these Germans treated? These foreigners might have learnt a thing or two after they came here..I certainly feel such matters should be taken to the notice of those respective countries but I also feel we should look within our society to realise how poor and middle class are treated in our countries.

If you have ever had the misfortune of dealing with that 'bastard in the window' at an overseas pak embassy or consulate for passport renewal or similar work you'll know what I'm talking about.

true, even in india our embassy treat us like we are 3rd class persons and i have gone through it.
i went to india for my father`s liver transplant and i am sorry to say that i was treated much much well in indian embassy in islamabad but in pakistan embassy delhi iwas shocked to learn that there was no sitting arrangement, no water facility and the person" behind the window" was just like that bastard who simply refused to help me in a foreign, unknown country in a disturbing and pathetic situation. thanks to Allah that we did something 2 manage otherwise......

I think the front staff is Pakistani as on other embassies too

It's really shocking...French embassy has Pakistani staff but they were co op on my last visit

Embassies do hire local staff, but there job is nothing more than clerical and their movement is restricted to just few areas of embassy. It is lot cheaper to hire educated locals than to bring a basic clerk from home country bear all the cost associated with embassy staff.

this is sad but this is how poor people are treated within our countries... middle class people rarely get this treatment....

I think Germans are also following Britain model: keeping their supremacy in Research and innovation. But while Industry is moving to China faster and faster, the real question is : how long they will be able to hold that position.
In the end, there remain their cocky faces, but hollow inside. Ultimatly people from subcontinent are left with no choice other than developing their own countries.

Sorry to disagree I never had a problem with Pakistani embassy they are cool and help full guys, I just them anything by post and its come back with a week or two, very polite behavior.
