Muzaffarnagar violence: Toll rises to 48

Muzaffarnagar: The death toll in the trouble-hit Muzaffarnagar district and adjoining towns in Uttar Pradesh rose to 48 on Wednesday morning, reports said. The district administration, meanwhile, announced a relaxation of four hours in the curfew, from 12 noon to 4 pm.

On Tuesday also, curfew was relaxed for over two hours in three areas of Muzaffarnagar, with violence abating. The restrictions were eased for two-and-a-half hours from 3.30 pm in Kotwali, Civil Lines and Nai Nandi areas

The administration had clamped curfew on Saturday following incidents of communal violence.


ADG (Law and Order) Arun Kumar had yesterday described the situation as "under control".

Sending out a stern warning, U P Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had said, "The state government would deal strictly with all those who have tried to create communal chasm and harm the atmosphere of Muzaffarnagar and Uttar Pradesh."

Every country has politics, what are you talking about.

As for democracy, tell me any other democracy in the world in which leaders made public speeches wearing Muslim caps, or Sikh Turbans when they are neither of those religions.

There are massive Sikh vote banks in Britain, but no politicians ever wore a Turban to make a speech.

The funny thing is that when some politician or political party in India speaks against discrimination against Indian Muslims, the Indian Hindus start crying its Muslim appeasement.

After so Many days of these riots No one from India came with exact or near to exact Number of Deaths/killings on both sides.

They even failed to prove that more Hindus were killed but they falsely claim.

Why this hiding?

Because they know number of Indian Muslims killed by Indian Hindus is greater than those of Hindus killed

Secularism by definition means keeping religion separate from government. Playing Religious politics to get votes is the exact opposite of that.

May be to Hindus?? if you are talking about us Muslims then well skull cap has NO significance viz a viz religious obligation neither its strictly implemented. It only means covering your head. You can use anything else. piece of cloth to any other cap.

The only restriction is that whatever you wear must cover your body and it must be clean .

OH BTW you can offer prayer even without a cap also its not needed that Muslims must wear a cap in public.

So Musims appease Jews by copying skull Cap? One Hindu dead is setback to entire family. Muslims have 6-16 kids, if one or 2 die nothing change. Where Hindus have 2-4 Kids, one death is very costly....


Having said that I will say that every life is valuable...
