Dude I know all about it.My father is a Muslim and mother is a Hindu and my parents did the exact same thing.They married under Indian Special Marriage Act not Nikkah.And boy,didn't that created a $hit storm.

Man was never monogamous. eg. even in religions, islam encourages 4 wives, mormons can also haev it. Indian culture is neutral to it but in general allows it. Chinese culture has concubine concept.
The only problem is that the men can do what they want tnad the woman has to suffer.
