Muslim woman attacked for travelling with Hindu man in Mangalore

Look bro, I (and most Indians) fully support all kinds of inter-Indian marriages, whether it is Hindu-Muslim, Christian-Sikh, Dalit-Brahmin, Khatriya-Vaishya, Bengali-Punjabi, Tamil-Marathi, etc. But the problem is, while Muslim men in India are allowed to mrry girls from other religions and convert them, the very same Muslims start getting violent if a Muslim girl marries a non-Muslim guy. This is completely unfair treatment, what are your views on this?

Indian law allows it. But problem is Bajrangadal and PFI people are law enforcers in Karnataka now a days.

Also Indian society still doesnt welcome this. If Hindu girl marries a muslim then Hindus riot. If Muslim girl marries Hindu boy then muslims riot but Hindus welcome it.

People thinking like you are lesser nw a days. Atleast those who have access to Internet are really lesser.


What i said was "Love Jihad" s really a creation by some Hindu group. It was just a propaganda. About the killing of 20 girl is really true story.

Why love jihad is still issue?
20 hindu girls were missing in Karnataka. BJP staged protest every where. withing few days police caught "Mohan" who killed around 20 girls. After that no love jihad protest in Karnataka. It was really embarassing moments for them.

I am not talking about Karnataka.. It was Kerala High Court who asked state police to investigate these allegations. As we both know, our Judiciary do take bull ShitSS.. Lets hope for the best that these allegations are false..

I am not talking about Karnataka.. It was Kerala High Court who asked state police to investigate these allegations. As we both know, our Judiciary do take bull ShitSS.. Lets hope for the best that these allegations are false..

I knw about this, Last i rmember abut this was Police informed court there is nothing true in this. But dont remember what happened after words.

Kerala Police today told the high court that no conclusive evidence had been received about existence of 'Love Jihad' movement, where young non-Muslim girls are allegedly trapped into marriage and converted into Islam.

In a statement filed in the court, director general of Police Jacob Punnose said he could not come to "a definite all conclusive finding" due to divergence in contents of reports from SPs of different districts and subordinate officers on the organised work of the 'Love Jihad' in the state. The DGP also submitted 18 reports of SPs in a sealed cover to the court, complying with its October 26 directive.

The court had expressed dissatisfaction with the DGP's earlier statement, saying some of his answers were 'vague' and statements did not 'reconcile' with each other. It had directed him to produce by today in a sealed cover the reports based on which he made his statements on the 'Love Jihad'.

The DGP, in a statement on Oct 22, had told the court there were reasons to suspect 'concentrated attempts' to persuade non-Muslim girls to convert to Islam after they fall in love with Muslim boys, but no organisation called 'Love Jihad' had been identified so far in the state.

Punnose in his statement today said he had received some information from some units based on "source inputs" which suggested 'clandestine design' of certain groups aimed at religious conversion through "deceitful means".

He said the contents of three reports lacked supportive evidence and were often based on hearsay. No cogent material was available in the three reports to make an unambigious statement on the truth of allegations of forced conversions. The contents of the reports require further enquiries, he stated.

The issue of the so called 'Love Jihad' had also been raised in the Karnataka High Court which on October 26 had directed the state and the Kerala police to jointly probe the matter and submit a report by November 13.

I think whats the issue here is, when Muslim boys marry girls form other religions, its ok. No one makes an issue out of it, no Mullah says anything, no one in the Muslim community objects. Bu twhen Muslim girl wants to marry non-Muslim guy, then all kinds of violence breaks loose...

O Mr. first check the chemistry about Indian Hindu society. Just two days back over 600 houses of Low cast Hindus were burnt by own Hindus just because a marriage of with a low cast Hindu .

As far as marriages according to Islam well the rules are clear and everyone knows.

Yeah but views are changing. It is just something I have noticed that Muslim men are more free to love/date/marry outside their religion than Muslim women.

I don't believe in the Love Jihad crap that media peddle to get some TRP ratings, but talking about an issue that we as Indians should look at more objectively. Thats all, sorry if I hurt your feelings or anything... Dont take it seriously...

Oh I agree completely with you. But what I am saying about the current topic is two wrongs dont make a right. India has all kinds of social problems, whether it is inter-ethnic, inter-caste, or inter-religious marriages, I admit.

And the girl has alledged that she was attacked because these political activists (who have a strong Islamist ideology) attacked her because she was with a man from oanother religion, which is unfortunate in my opinion...

Thats what i am saying. As far the allegations of the lady well if that is true no one is supporting the act of the accused, even if these allegations of the lady are not true even then the action is condemnable.

First, since you have zero idea of the area concerned, being circumspect won't hurt. There has been & is plenty of friction about boys & girls of opposite communities meeting, especially on the outskirts of Mangalore. The women was a panchayat member, supported in election by the BJP. That automatically means she was a target for right wing Muslim groups for fraternising with the "enemy". Discrediting her in the eyes of the community could have been one of the reasons for this outrage. Best not to jump to conclusions & give definitive statements.
