How do you explain the existence of massive camps then? Surely, 1 million people can't be "extremists/terrorists" right? China uses heavy-handed approach with Uigyurs. Middle East and Pakistani people in China don't live and reside in Xinjiang....they live and travel in rest of China and might interact more with Hui people.

China is being preemptive. All Muslims in mainland China are suspects. In putting them into isolation, all Chinese Muslims are guilty until proven innocent.
