Muslim dad threatened with death over daughter's Christmas tree

Xmass is copied from roman's.. The actual DOB of Prophet Jesus isn't known.

I don't celebrate Xmas but I wish or greet my Christian friends... And partake in their festivities...
Of course we don't celebrate as the Christians don't celebrate Eid either. But we can wish them happy Christmas without subscribing to what it entails but only in the spirit of the good social mannerism.

It is not my call. I'm not the one who is declaring logical and illogical and that too without providing the reasoning behind it. Anyway don't get crossed buddy it is just simple counter-questioning and you should expect it when you post on public forum. However I may help you in simplifying the problem. There was two things which IMO you're confusing (1) Should one celebrate (2) How to celebrate? ... Now think about it and again don't get angry.

It always helps the media to highlight the faith of the subject if and only if the he or she is a Muslim. However, it will be a horrible mistake to call "Christian President of USA Donald Trump, Hindu prime minister of india" etc.
Yes! They do like to make a mountain of a molehill

Once you are living in a western country and you have kids, you have to few things for kids sake, they have to go to school interact with other kids, do not expect small kids to be explaining why they cant have Christmas tree and gifts, this is for your child happiness.

I don't celebrate anything except for two Eidain ............ but I don't have a problem with people of other religion or anyone celebrating their festivals, Easter, Christmas, Holi or whatever ...... nor I am that narrow minded not to wish them. My only argument is with Muslims who keep criticizing and declaring everything haram ....... like the people who are cursing and criticizing Amir ...... these same people when they celebrate 12th Rabi Ul Awal they forget that we believe in nearly 124000 all of the Messengers ......... so we should be celebrating birthdays of all of the Messengers ....... but do we have enough days in a year? Now do you get my point?

A lot of flawed assumptions and that is why I say that your methodology is often flawed..and here comes the most fcuked up part. What evidence you have that it is the same people? Your idiotic assumption is totally flawed. It is most likely the people who do not celebrate Rabi-ul-awwal and declare those who celebrate it as kafirs and you're actually one of those. Another fcuked up assumption and total lack of understanding? First of all it is not 124000 rather approximately... secondly, only a handful have been mentioned by their names, and except Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him), none's birthday is known and furthermore, we just believe that Allah send approx. that number of prophets and messengers but we follow only the Holy Prophet Muhammad the last messenger of Allah .... Have you ever read or recited the first (tayyaba) and second (shahadat) kalimas? Is there name of anyother prophet in them? Furthermore Holy Prophet is the seal and chief of all the messengers. So first learn a few basics and then comment on such forums. Utter ignorance coupled with arrogance always makes a man a fool and laughing stock for the world.

According to Islamic jurisprudence or fiqh, celebrating Christmas is sinful for Muslims because you are wandering out of the bounds of tahwid. You are essentially trying to celebrate the birthday of the 'son of God'. I don't celebrate Christmas as a Muslim, but wish well for non Muslims that do celebrate the holiday.

Thanks but no thanks. Just focus on learning and acquiring knowledge. Get your methodology right... that'll be a good trophy..
