And especially how conveniently you dodged the reality what happens with people in India when they criticize Indian army (Om Puri, poor girls being threatened to be r@ped are but just few recent examples).

Being arrested.

You don't arrest people for morphing pictures of politicians, they are the ones begging for votes from people and must tolerate being ridiculed. Even in Pakistan no one gives a shyte when politicians as powerful as Nawaz Sharif himself is routinely ridiculed.


Yogi and Modi are being treated like "gods" in India, ridiculing them is like "blasphemy" and people get arrested in the name of "Cyber Crime".

He is in India, and Indian IT laws apply here.. he can be arrested for morphing anybodies pictures...

It is not anybodies concern in India how PM Nawaz is treated and respected in his own country.

NEW DEHLI: A 22-year old Muslim, Rahat Khan, has been arrested for a Facebook posting against Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Greater Noida area.

A complaint was lodged by the supporters of Yodi Adityanath against Khan for posting an ‘objectionable’ image of Yogi on Facebook.

“Rahat Khan has posted morphed image of the newly elected chief minister and captioned it with ‘Yogi hai, ya bhogi hai’ on his Facebook wall,” said Rajpal Tomar, the station house officer of Dankaur police station.

However, Rahat Khan’s mother stated that his son is innocent. She further said, “our family is involved in several social service activities. We have even won applauds from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself for raising the issue of triple talaq.”

She blamed land mafia for framing his son.

The 44-year-old Adityanath, known as a ‘firebrand Hindu leader’, is the head priest of Gorakhpur’s influential Gorakhnath shrine. Since his election, India’s status as a secular state has been questioned.

Arrest is made for every crime, you can't lump up every crime under blasphemy.

I agree with you on ridiculing politicians and there MUST BE NO restrictions on it, and personally I have no objection to this particular case either, infact it helps BJP more.

In this case, Picture was morphed to show Yogi (a celibate) in a compromising position with a woman. This whole thing is silly, I don't support arrest of this guy but I can't stop others from using an available legal avenue, brought in by previous government, nothing wrong in it. A complaint was filed and arrest was made, if there is merit in the case there will be further action or else this case will be disposed off.

A similar complaint was filed against supporters of Yogi by a Maratha group couple of days ago over a picture depicting Yogi as Shiva ji Maharaj.

As far as treating Modi or Yogi as "GODS" is concerned harshest criticism of them comes from BJP supporters not media or opposition.
