I even being a vocal contributor to the Musharraf-is/was-evil side on this forum, would not approve of a court martial/trial by article 6. There is no need to flog a dead horse. Critique and analysis has its own place, calls for court martial are pointless.

Funny, this nuisance coming from the man who preached fanaticism to the extent that it has become cancerous for this nation. Hamid Gul should be the one tried for treason!

Hamid Gul and his minions are the people responsible for such cancer to acccumulate in our great country. The liberal and moderate nation that Mohammad Ali Jinnah dreamt of is in dire state today because of such shortsighted and fanatic maniacs.

Gen. Musharraf was the person who diagnosed such a cancer existed in our society and rightly acted upon to eliminate such a existential threat. We should award him a medal for what he has done for this nation. For it is because of him that the economy sustains such an economic meltdown that we our experiencing today.

And you people talk of free judiciary? who is trying to politicise the office of CJP? who was responsible for destablising Pakistan while the economy was on the upsurge? had this ridiculous power hungry individual resigned we would have been better off financially today. To this day he has not proved his innocence in court of law with regards to the cases brought against him.

I believed & same was repeated by Hamid Gul in an interview that Musharaf was manipulated into power by USA coz they had already planned to invade Afghanistan & an all-in-all dictator suited their needs,,,

& delusion of some that Pakistan was better under his rule is really an illusion because if there was any solid progress it would have stayed, while reality is opposite, pak now is in worse condition than before Musharaf,,, all that was there was a puffed up economy because of "bank-credits" & "expectation-based-stock-exchange-hype" & "money shift as result of post-9 11 scare in ex-pats"... This is NOT real progress!!!,,,

Like he could have easily built Dams that he did NOT...

Some of his opposers say that his only good work was liberation of media, well may be there's some truth in that, but over-all he damaged Pak Watan..

Why Blame Musharaf? He tried everything for Pakistan, its Pakistan's (Specifically Military/Army) Romance with "Strategic Depth", Failure to impart Secular and Modern education, Jihadis as a Strategic Weapon, Corruption mixed with low-development etc etc has lead to this fiasco and Total dependence on USA for Survival money! This guy actually/Honestly worked hard, your GDP and Growth rate was highest, Islamic militancy under-Control, Good relations with the rest of the World. I don't support Dictatorships, but this man was doing wonders, yes he did not comply with the armies strategic depth and all other illusions, BUT he did improve Pakistan's Condition.

wont agree to that, a person who harmed the nation should be punished

if someone killed any other person, should we still say 'let bygones be bygones'? i mean the person is already dead so it wont help much punishing the other. There is a punishment for everything one does wrong and it should be enforced!!

I am not trying to tell you whom you should like and dislike I was simply pointing out that all religious bigotry in Pakistan is the gift of Zia and Musharraf was simply given no choice but to fight it.
