Some are putting too much emphasis on Sadr. Sadr's visit comes as part of other figures visiting Saudi and vice-verse.

Nonsense talk about sect and what not. Don't you fools get it? Blood is thicker than water. The same Muqtada al-Sadr is originally from KSA. Similarly to how the vast majority of the Iraqi Shia Arabs from Southern Iraq are from KSA originally and half of them are fairly recent arrivals (4-5 generations - some even migrated as early as the 1950's). This Arab migration from North to South has occurred for 3000 years in a row. Millenia before that our mostly Semitic ancestors took part in the same ancient migrations. Dating back to Neolithic times, a period that began in our lands, obviously. 12.000 + years ago.

Anyway this is irrelevant. Outsiders won't know this but clerics, tribal leaders, important personalities from KSA and Iraq meet on a monthly if not a weekly basis.

Recently King Salman and Al-Abadi (prime minister of Iraq in case people don't know) have met each other in KSA a few times and during various Arab League meetings. Chiefs of Staffs have met in Baghdad a few weeks ago. Religious delegations (Sunni, Shia, whatever - does not matter) met regularly.

Likewise there is no hostility and won't ever be any hostility between the average Saudi Arabian and Iraqi, expect for political disagreements if they even exist in particular cases. It's totally outrageous to suggest anything else. As if an Al-Tamimi from Basra harbors any hatred to an Al-Tamimi (distant cousin) in neighboring KSA. Just an example. Regimes is another discussion altogether. People within their own countries mostly dislike their regimes. Big deal.
