Muslim Personal Law should be abolished along with other such laws, so that UCC can be implemented. After all Indian Muslim Community itself claims to be The Secular Community. They shouldn't have any problem with it's implementation.

sir my point was that certain sections of our Muslim community objects implementing ucc so i think they would not mind sharia law for themselves afterall just like personal law sharia is also basic part of Islam.

Shariah law is in use in India up to Muslim family matters and not wider social matters, and that too as a suggestion - as in the shariah court can give a suggestion based on Islamic shariah. It cannot be enforced forcibly in any way, nor can anyone request anyone to implement the suggestions, if any force is used then it becomes a criminal offense under Indian court - Muslim families can approach shariah courts on an independent level - but following the dictates is limited up to one's own discretion.

P.s. No punishments are allowed to be dictated by shariah courts, nor to be implemented - if so, both the Shariah board and the sentence executioner are liable under criminal offense.

If that's the case, they shouldn't call themselves Secular. In a Secular Country, there is no place for Sharia Law.
