China is being given unnecessary hype...these pictures clearly show China is not too ahead as far as cleanliness is concerned....I think with the absence of international media ,China is seeing to it that it is projecting only its positive side...I admit China is a bit developed than India but it is nowherr near international standards(going by above pictures).

It's not hype, it's simply the truth. There is no shame in admitting it since China was in a similar situation before it opened up. Pretty sure your friend had to give a little bit effort to find those pictures about China (one is even fog not smog) but to find similar pictures about India, all I have to search is "Indian countryside".
