JF17 in on the way to replace some other aircraffts like A5 and mirages may be msome mirage variants

here i have a question that if we replace the multi plate forms with single plate form what would be the possible problems PAF can face

surley iif we had some more choices like some other JFT like crafts than that would be better

i know some advantages be there lke indiginousity and also maintinance

but here i ask totally from the performance prospect:what::what::what::what:

We may find that where as we can use a single platform for multiple mission types, that we do not perform those mission types as well as we may have with specialized aircraft and configuration.

Specialists platforms include air superiority fighters, high speed/altitude interceptors, ground attack aircraft and sometimes long range strategic bombers.

Operating specialist platforms is very costly, and requires large amounts of money, manpower and of course, a large number of aircraft. Most developing countries cannot afford to operate such specialist aircraft, nor do they have the need.

Most airforces these days (including developed nations) are going for multirole aircraft that reduce the number of platforms (and thus costs and time) and still carry out most of the 'specialised' roles with efficiency.

For an air force like PAF, specialisation is needless and a waste of resources. It will reduce the overall efficiency, since airfields will have to be customised to operate different aircrafts, and logistical issues will add to the nightmare. But most importantly, the cost factor will bring the air force's efficiency down.
