British authorities held formal recorded interviews with senior MQM officials who told them the party was receiving Indian funding, the BBC was told.


The UK authorities started investigating the MQM in 2010 when a senior party leader, Imran Farooq, was stabbed to death outside his home in north London.

In the course of those inquiries the police found around £500,000 ($787,350) in the MQM's London offices and in the home of MQM leader Altaf Hussain. That prompted a second investigation into possible money laundering.

A Pakistani official told the BBC, Not the UK authorities. so chill.

Bound to happen with the type of activities MQM has been involved in. Things are getting clearer by the day, i'm sure in a couple of day's conclusive enough evidence, which MQM can not deny will present itself. Expecting a press conference from Rabita committee denying everything and calling it a sazich against Mohajirs.
I don't get what target killers and convicts were doing inside nine zero. Even to this date MQM hasn't provided any logical explanation to it, mostly ignore the issue. That being said if there is enough evidence which i believe there is, be it MQM or PPP all such parties should be banned and any one who is involved in any such illegal activity should be brought to justice. PPP should be banned anyway for their performance in Sindh.

In the course of the inquiries the UK authorities found a list itemising weapons, including mortars, grenades and bomb-making equipment in an MQM property, according to Pakistani media reports that the BBC believes to be credible. The list included prices for the weapons. Asked about the list, the MQM made no response.

As the UK police investigations have progressed, the British judiciary has been taking an increasingly tough line on the MQM. Back in 2011 a British judge adjudicating an asylum appeal case found that "the MQM has killed over 200 police officers who have stood up against them in Karachi".

Last year another British judge hearing another such case found: "There is overwhelming objective evidence that the MQM for decades had been using violence."

Why doesn't the UK government do anything about it.

Yesterday came the news of China blocking India's move to take action against Pakistan in UN on the grounds of terrorism.The Chinese position was simple that India's claim was baseless and lacked evidence.
Today comes the news of BBC accusing India of supporting terror in Pakistan through funding MQM.
Two major blows to Ind's claims when it cries that the 'whole world knows' that Pakistan is the bad guy.
First your complain gets rejected in the UN and the next day you yourself get accused of the same activities by the west.
Shame !
