New weapon familie for EGM, Gendarmie and Coast guard

If you count next 15 years EGM, Gendermarine, Coast Guard (which all be part of Interior Minstery) there is a demand of 500.000 pistol.. which will costs more than 500million Euros. Thats huge amount of money..


Turkish firms like Sarsilmaz, TISAS, GIRSAN, CANIK etc. can handle it; also it is logical "a family of pistol" for both services.

7.62 is created for long range and great stoping power. Rifles that fire 7.62 are called battle rifles and they are not competable with law enforcement. Police forces cannot use 7.62 in close areas because of its greater recoil, nearly no chance of surviving, slower reload times and inaccuracy that comes with recoil which is unaccaptle in civilian populated areas.

Urban combat needs submachine guns or assault rifles. Even assault rifles and submachine guns are going to be phased out in favor of new class between submachine gun and assault rifle for law enforcement.

i have seen police with AK's... and yeah it is easy to use it even tough it fires 7.62.

why do you think many terrorists use AK? it is a very easy gun to use and has the power to do the job.

still, i would like to see some new and better equipment, i just think they look way more cool with an AK in their hand than with some pistol or mp5.

only problem is that you can find bullets to an AK anywhere, even ammo not fully designed for AK can be fired if I am not wrong.

You mean something like HK416! that would be great. It sounds logical to me! MPT is a modified HK417 [The responsibility of this news is for cabatli_53! ], so from the same family a modified HK416 could be admitted! Lovely gun!

Not exactly, Its just a domestic rifle that is based on the HK417 design so its not an Modified one. But i will be happy if it will reach the same level as HK417.
