Is Bangladesh looking forward to acquire some fixed wing platform for anti-sub role? Something like P-3 Orion or such?

As of now, neither the navy nor the government has released any report or even any speculation or rumours that the navy will get more fixed wing platform for the time being. However, there are rumours that we might buy 2-3 Z-9 helicopters from the chinese( which has anti sub)

AFAIK, for ASW roles, it requires sensor pod which seems to be missing in Bangladeshi Dorniers. So i asked, can it be integrated later on?

I don't think current ragime will ask for any such thing. This was done purely for show. Just like mig 29 was purchased without any missile at the first place. That was just for false boasting that Bangladesh had Mig 29.

Too bad BD has already made up its mind about it, else the MA60 MPA plane would be an nice, cost-effective alternative.
