MP-5

This one incident near Hafeez Center. There was an armed robbery. The robbers were running on foot towards main market. There were two policemen on a bike. Both of them get got of the bike and were dumb founded on how to turn the safety off. They just had no clue about the MP5.

I moved to the US in 2003 so I should not have made a generalized statement. So thank you for correcting me.

I have been in the body armor manufacturing business since 1997.

with due respect i disagree with ya man.A Police officer didn't know how to remove the safety catch:hitwall::what:.a person holding a gun and he is working for Police department man o man not possible he don't know to use the gun he is holding.:mod::undecided:

With all due respects to you as well. I have seen a number more incidents like this. The Hafeez center incident I am talking about concerned two sepoys patroling on a bike. I have even witnessed a few encounters. The new Police recruits might be getting better training but that still isn't going to change my opinion on the overall performance. Keep in mind we are talking about the regular Police constables.

Totally agreed about raguler police man.

I wouldn't doubt what was mentioned about the police officer not being able to handle his weapon. I was told by a few police officers that the only weapons issued to them were the ones they picked up off the street! However, I do know that is not the case throughout Pakistan but we must all agree that there are cases of people going in to the department without any qualifications/training and just paying their way through (Not always, but it happens). With all due respect to everyone's views, if all of our law enforcement officials had proper training they way they should, why is it that the public does not trust them? Besides the Islamabad police, I haven't come across any place where people have confidence in their Police.

Just checked with my source. MP5s are for approx Rs 35,000 at the moment. Civilians can buy them. Getting more information on this and will post ASAP.

Can you please provide some more information on this?
