Most Pakistanis fear country headed in wrong direction: survey

I would been happy if this was achieved by boosting exports but no this has not been the case instead it has been done by unstable exchange rate
What unstable exchange rate? Exchange rate is finally floating freely for the first time and now it truly reflects the value of PKR in real time, boosting investor confidence.

increasing interest rate.
Interest rate increased with inflation shock following fixed to floating exchange rate. Nothing unusual about it.

This resulted in slowing down the economy which resulted in compressing imports. The aggregate demand was taken out.
Economy slowed because it was driven by import-consumption through overvalued PKR. It was built on ever growing imports, eating through Pakistan's foreign exchange reserves. That is how unsustainable previous govts economic policy was.

Where is the achievement of IK or for that matter his economic team.
Turning inherited 20 billion USD current account deficit to surplus in less than two years is not an achievement? Saving the poor and indebted country from financial and economic collapse following coronavirus lockdown is not an achievement? What more do you want?

Our problem is simple

PEOPLE BE IDIOTS!!!

The path the idiots of Pmln or PPP put us on will lead to destruction

We NEED a reset

That means we will have to endure pain for the best part of a decade in order to fix the fiasco idiots like Nawaz gave to us

Our people are stupid, gullible and they have no stomach for the hard times we will have to endure

We need to tear apart PPP, Pmln and the rest

Bangladesh is a one party dictatorship and maybe we should be too, because this BULLSHIT has gone on for too long

Bangladesh is a one party dictatorship and maybe we should be too, because this BULLSHIT has gone on for too long
This is Bajwa doctrine exactly
Our people are stupid, gullible and they have no stomach for the hard times we will have to endure
PM Imran Khan said that we have to endure hard times but people are promised relief by opposition. This is why things are never fixed in Pakistan.

This is Bajwa doctrine exactly

Under normal circumstances I would be against it

Democracy has its merits

However it's becoming too much, our population is too ignorant to understand the nuances of governance, economy etc

Our opposition is power hungry to the point where they are willing to destroy the country out of sheer pigheadedness and greed

Or make it a ungovernable mess full of fiefdoms where different parties rule and have eternal power

A soft dictatorship in the Bangla mode may be our best chance to force through much needed changes and laws and not be hampered by the idiocy of the million and one conflicting forces and the general numbskullery of the people

and maybe one day we can get back to democracy In a few decades when we have had a sweeping out of the political scene

as painful as it is this is the right path and our people need to understand we need to find the resolve and patience to get through the chemotherapy we are receiving

The only thing I would blame Imran Khan for is that he isn't ruthless enough

and also the dude needs to hit the airway's

use his power as PM to make multiple broadcasts to the nation on all channels to EXPLAIN EVERYTHING don't make promises, just tell them what's happening, why it has to happen and how painful it will be

try to appeal to their intelligence

tell them we will be in pain
it will be for a while
it will be necessary

the idiots of ppp and PMLN are guilty and must never be trusted

we can't have the narrative stolen by the idiots of ppp and PMLN

Survey was conducted by Sarkozy himself, for the love of Pakistan but even more for the love of Muslims.

PM Imran Khan doesn't want to be seen as civilian dictator like Nawaz Sharif.

ISLAMABAD: Majority of Pakistanis continue to fear that the country is heading in the wrong direction since last year, claims a survey.

France-based organisation lpsos, in its survey titled “Consumer Confidence Survey in Pakistan”, released on Sunday claimed that four in five Pakistanis continued to fear that the country was heading in the wrong direction since last year.

It also revealed that three in four Pakistanis expressed dissatisfaction with the way things are going in Pakistan today, while the same proportion of Pakistanis described as bad the current economic situation in the country.

The survey, which the organisation asserted was based on 1,000 samples collected from urban and rural areas of the country from people aged 18-plus years with (male and female 50:50pc) in September this year, said that unemployment was a worrying issue which got amplified by 11 per cent people since last year, followed by increasing inflation and poverty.

The survey report, while clubbing various stated responses by theme stated that 75pc of the most worrying issues related to economic despair of the masses. It also stated that significant increase in inflation and poverty are at the top since August last year.

While high cost of living is the most important worrying issue across all provinces, followed by unemployment and increasing poverty, corruption was among top five worries in Punjab and in KP and power loadshedding was prominent only in Sindh. The survey also revealed that only one in 20 Pakistanis rated the current local economy as strong.

“Looking ahead six months from now, 4 in 5 Pakistanis foresee the economy getting deteriorated,” the survey said, adding that two in five Pakistanis considered their personal financial situation as weak while over 50pc Pakistanis expected this to be even weaker in the next six months.

The survey also revealed that four in five Pakistanis continued to feel less confident about their job security since August 2018.

“One out of two Pakistanis reported experiencing themselves or witnessing people known to them personally, who lost their jobs in last year. This proportion was 31 per cent from Aug 2018 to Aug 2019,” it said, adding that one out of 10 Pakistanis feared they would lose their jobs in the next six months.

“In comparison to one year ago, 9 out of 10 Pakistanis are feeling less comfortable while purchasing general household items as well as major ones like cars, homes etc,” the survey said and claimed that in comparison one year ago, more than 8 out of 10 people were feeling less confident about their ability to save and invest in the future.

The survey claimed that Global Consumer Confidence Index for Pakistan stood at 28.9 in September 2020 against global average of 41.8.

IK seems to be really popular on this forum but as per the editorial I don't think he is on the streets. What are his chances to get re-elected again cause that of Modi in 2024 are quite high.
So those surveys taken by our own survey institutions will not be shown but a france based company will be posted here 🤣

Btw who is doing surveys in middle of Covid ?

And its based on 1000 samples :rofl::rofl:
To represent population of 220 million 😆🤣🤣
The year PM Imran Khan said to his people, "Aap nay gabraana nahi hai", country was hit by the largest pandemic in it's history.

This is when a year earlier PM Imran Khan celebrated "mediation", then allowed Indian Occupied Kashmir to be annexed for the first time in the country's history.

I wish the bloody Shaikh Chilli would just keep his gob shut.
So now pandemic is Khans fault aswell typical patwaripuna 🤣 and Kashmir was annexed with Khans permission 🤣🤣 jitni kutte wali india ki Khan ne ki ya jitna india ko nuksan Khan ne ponchaya he utna Nawazu ne 30 saal me nai ponchaya hoga... han Mulk ko indians k liye Nuksan nawazu ne zaroor ponchaya Sajjan Jindal se mil k
My opinion may differ from most of my brothers here ,who are in an overwhelming majority here. Finding excuses and blaming the pitch, the ground , the spectators and the umpire all the time is a hallmark of a weak player. Past Govts, Covid ,bad team and bad media etc will not help forever, for fear of hurting any feelings i will not add more.

True it will not but when the allegations are right they should be there... almost half of our economic problems today are due to one simple blunder made by Ishaq Dar... blunder of keeping dollar artificially low with loan money

Pakistan has been used as scapegoat all the time by Hillary so dw
Btw they blame us for deep state even tho they have the biggest one...
Admittedly the economy was in bad shape but things have gone from bad to worse. Regrettably, since the PTI gov't took office, all Imran Khan & his ministers have done is to keep repeating how corrupt were the previous gov'ts were. By now most people are sick & tired of hearing the same narrative over and over. In the meantime everyday food items are a lot more expensive, unemployment has increased, and now the shortage of wheat as well as of cotton. The public already warned to expect gas shortages during the winter months.

Confiscating Nawaz Sharif's property is as useless for the common man as selling the PM house buffalos was for the economy of the country. Joe public wants to see a reduction in food prices and the cost of utilities such as electricity and petrol. this, however, appears to be fas less important to PTI than jailing the opposition leaders.

Finally, as the High Court Justice remarked it is the job of the police to apprehend the culprits. Police catch the highway rapist after more than a month and Punjab CM rewards them with a Rs 50-million bonus!. Does Punjab Police get paid just to boss around?

Fear that gov't is headed in the wrong direction is perfectly justified.
Public wants many things but now water has crossed the nose level mere bahi... where was this public when Nawazu was taking huge loans on their heads 🤔 and keeping dollar artificially low ?

Forget about Indian media. What is your own assessment is everything going right? The cost of living is killing. White collars are finding it hard let alone poor and destitute. Electricity, Sui gas, pluses, wheat, rice and sugar price of all have gone through the roof. Yet you are talking about Indian media. Worst is that PM is living in utopia. Even the staunch supporters have now left IK.
And previous govts have nothing to do with these price hikes ?

You have rightly defined the philosophy of PTI that Govt job is not to "please" the nation. True Nation should go to hell..... just keep beating the drum that NS chor ha...
So you think PTI should be pleasing the nation through temporary measures and moving the country towards more destruction in future ? And nawazu sirf chor nai ghadar v aa

Lmao unstable exchange rate ? So exchange rate which is set according to world market value and not artificially controlled is unstable

And increasing interest rate ? On what ?

And imported stuff should be taxed more to force people to buy local... and this done that is what matters not how...
Problem is that all the angles Pakistan had, have gone to Norway and those left here are crooks.
Reality is 8 out of 10 Pakistanis are uneducated when it comes to economics...

Great....

Discussing something with those have a preconceived ideas will never take you anywhere.

Leave my thinking aside and you try to have some humanity. Let Pakistan and its uneducated masses be the first for you not PTI, PMLN or PPP.

By the way, tabdele ka kera ab sirf dollar, riyal or euro kamnawalo ma baqi rah gaya ha rupes Walon nay ache tarha sawad chakh lea ha...

When you ask these people on what Pakistan should have done, they have no answer other than war.

It doesn't matter which government was in power - Modi was going to do what he did.

I am not an expert on Modi. Modi did it on purpose to deliver a punch at Pakistani army/Imran Khan's face
