Most Chinese provincial areas relax one-child policy

Yea, illegal, we lock them up and waterboard them. What kind of question is that, is it illegal, geez, this question really says it all, in terms of how much people know of China.

WTH? I am just asking. The one child policy is famous, everyone knows that. But single mom/dad issue is treated differently in each country. I am just curious how Chinese laws deal with eat. Can the single mom/dad marry once more time? If they are allowed, can they have one more child? What if the single mom gets married with a single dad, then they have 2 children already, can they have one more child?

Vietnam laws never limit the quantity of child in each family. Before they recommended that there should be 1 or 2 childs each family. But now they recommend at least 2 childs for each family.

Remember, we are not Christianists. But giving birth is the human right.

Each Vietnam family has at least 2, ... 1 son 1 daughter are perfect.
I myself have 2 sons 1 daughter. LOL

Communist Party members who have more than two face automatic expulsion and parents are often asked to pay the health and education costs of a third child. More serious sanctions include having land confiscated.

Btw, Christians are actually against abortion and birth control.

do you know Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung - the PM, he has 3 too ...
To be frank, because we get married late, if not I would have 1, 2 more child to make total 4-5 child

There should more incentives for people having a second child, Singapore and Russia have implemented this with successful results.

Other than that I believe China should look into the creation of artificial womb technology.

Japan experimented with this technology in the 90's but its been quiet may be possible. With aging population throughout the world and women not wanting to bare children I believe this should be a priority of the government otherwise you end up like Japan or Europe.

Having a huge population is an asset for China not a liability. Westerners always advocate for smaller families because they are not reproducing and fear of a non white world. I think they duped Chinese in believing this BS for three decades now. Finally our leaders are waking up.

In order to reverse the gender imbalance in China, for the next twenty to thirty years, it is vital that Chinese family have an average of at lest 2 kids per family. This will guarantee more workers in the future to build more military hardware and keep the demographics at a younger age.

Having too many people will strain your resource, having too many uneducated people will destroy your nation's future, and havig too many unemployed people will even result in chaos. Its a good thing that the government is fine tuning its population control policy to achieve the optimal result.

But the side effects are an aging population and gender imbalance which will take time to fix. I believe the family policy should have been relaxed years ago. Once China is developed and per capita is past 20,000 or more people will have less children and you have examples of Japans and Europe which have aging populations which hurt their economies.

Once China is developed we can manage our resources better however we should encourage people to have more children that and looking into artificial womb technology which could benefit China.

I'm not sure if artificial womb would solve it since I think the biggest put off for having a child is the responsibility and cost in raising a child, from 1month til they are 17yrs. Child labor and pregnancy is one small issue.

But I agree that more incentives would encourage people to have more children. However this incentive needs to be big in my opinion. Like having a large portion of the expense of raising a child from 1month to 17yrs getting paid by the state, having a free assistant/nanny during the early childhood (1month to 7years). I think only this kind of incentive would encourage people but it is obviously unrealistic. And I think the fertility rate of Singapore is still low.
