What's new

Moscow wants Dhaka by its side at UN, WTO

Yes they are still the most powerful block, but militarily.

Economically China is way ahead. But since we count economy with BAL fed usd number per capita , so we won't understand how powerful China is economically. And nowadays economy is the greatest weapon.

And now usa already became a lot weaker in economy compared to China and now after dollar under threat ( because of Ukraine Russia war ) usa is losing ground more seriously!

Americas greatest weapon is not her military , but it was dollar dominance.

This article says the dollar benefits for usa.

Well if we still arrogantly push that dollar can't be harmed it will remain a king forever, then we have to wait sometimes.
No, the west is still the most powerful block economically by far, see below. BD is there in its own right as "BGD" and its great to see. Hopefully in the next few years we will see our GDP overtaking Philippines, Denmark and Egypt.

If China remain silent and keep giving money even after Bangladesh directly join usa side , I'm fine with that.
If China keeps on giving us money, will it be necessary to pay it back with interest? If we have to pay back, how do you propose it would be done.

Not only China, I am talking about all the Ghee-Bhaat loans from China, ADB, IMF, WB and others. BD already has trade deficits. So, how do you propose to pay back the loan money.

.
If BD is forced into the US camp, it should demand more access to the US market and investment by US companies especially in manufacturing. This will be an win win for Bangladesh and US corporations (not the American people - they will lose more manufacturing jobs).
Okay but what if usa through us after using tissue paper like they did to Pakistan during first cold war against Soviet?

If usa use us same as they used Pakistan at past ? Will it bring any benefits for Bangladesh?

Please elaborate.

Statistically yes. But China has huge trade surplus. I read in few Bengali news articles and they are my only source.

Tbh, I don't understand economics well , unlike geopolitics.

So I'm afraid that I can't provide counter arguments. But if you want I will provide the articles sources tomorrow. I need to search again ,i mostly don't save what I read.

Not necessary. China has grown and has trade surplus but on its own it can not compete with west realistically in any field.

West is more than the US and will act in unison to maintain status quo, see ukraine.

China has not developed close alliance with anyone and without this it will lack ability to challenge current global hedgemony.
