According to official data of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), 31% of the Moscow's population is Muslim. This data was presented by the head of the UOC Patriarch Filaret.
There are only 49% followers of the OC in Moscow, Russians out of them - 34%. Thus, Moscow has already ceased to be a purely Russian-Orthodox city, pointed out Filaret. In the interview to the Ukrainian newspaper Glavkom he said:
"The Muslim Eid al-Adha is attended by far more Muslims than the paskha by the orthodox - and this is happening in Moscow that has proclaimed itself the "Third Rome". And in 30 years, as scholars forecast, Russia will cease to be a Christian country. Ukraine in these circumstances is a salvation for them".
To prevent this, the Russians systematically destroy the Ukrainian language in order to destroy the Ukrainian state, said the primate of the UOC.
A Moscow priest Kurayev confirmed the words of the patriarch, that Moscow would soon be purely a Muslim city, and the Azan will be played above the Kremlin calling for an Islamic prayer. "So be it", said Kuraev in an interview to a Moscow radio station.
Meanwhile, Patriarch Filaret also talked about the FSB-ROC ringleader Gundyayev, alias "Cyril":
"Ukraine is already not accepting Cyril's visits. Not a single positive reviews of his visit there. At first, when he visits, there were a lot of people attending his services. Now, a large number of believers brought from Russia are the only ones who attend. The main purpose of Cyril's visits to Ukraine is the Russian policy.
