During E3 this year I was completely disappointed, we generally saw much of what we already thought we are going to see. Some games we were really excited about were a no show (Metal Gear Solid: Rising, The Final Fantasy Versus, etc.) While other games that have literally plagued E3 for about a decade (CoD series, EA sports franchises etc.)
Sony:
Sony's presentation this year was below average and was by far one of the worst they ever made. Their stupid book thingy, Move crap, An Uncharted shadow of a game with "I am Alone" rip off writeen all over it not to forget one of the biggest rip offs in history: Playstation All-Stars battle Royal... Just saying that made my dead Wii turn in it's grave. In general Sony tanked and was not as much as we suspected but hey Free one year Playstation Plus for all was the best thing I got out of it at least.
Microsoft:
Microsoft show this year can be summarized in two words: Usher, Kinect. No Quality game what so ever nothing that geniunely can make you excited, Half way through the show I was really beginning to feel sleepy and was like Please God let it end. In general if you are excited about Let's Dance I am happy for you just don't get near me with a 10 foot pole please.
Nintendo:
Wii-U... Wii-U....Wii-U... Nintendo finally stepping up its game so that it is in the same level as PS3 and 360... Which is very sad. A new paper Mario and some sort of a Zombie game with "How long can you survive?" at the end made me think of Project Zomboid and if it turns out to be a good game I might find myself buying a Wii-U just to try that thing out. Other than that the Nintendo presentation also tanked.
EA:
EA started it's show with the word "DLCs are good".. I had an immediate need to barf with the realization that gaming is dying because of hungry corporations and their immoral schemes. The SaudiGamer team had the pleasure to talk to the head of EA with the first question being "Why did you stop selling full games and selling DLCs locked on the CD?" His facial expressions were priceless. No game really got my attention here.
Ubisoft:
This is by far the only presentation that made this trip worth it. The new Assassin'd Creed game builds on the original like its predecessors however you don't feel like it is a new game however more like the same guy but with a cooler haircut. Farcry3 looked interesting but I have a very bad experience with Farcry games and the tortures boredom that is associated with it. But here we found the biggest prize of all. The one thing that made this Year's E3 not a total failure. And the one thing that gave me and perhaps the rest of the gaming community a breath of relief that maybe just maybe gaming is not dead quite yet.
