Moroccan F-16 lost over Yemen

. . .
Stop talking like that,he's an enlisted man fighting for his country. He had orders and he followed them.We shouldn't mock soldiers on a defence forum.

May he Rest In Peace.
He is fighting but not for his country.
By the way not all order must be followed.
By the way why not follow your logic for Germany soldiers who wee following orders 70 years ago . Wasn't you European several years ago put a 93 years old German soldier in court because 70 years ago he was a camp guard he even was not participate in any killing . And in that court you put him and his family on so much stress that he died because of heart problems.

. . .
Egypt has very good pilots, no doubt.

Arab nations generally have some very capable stick pilots.

Where they traditionally falter is the tactical planning and execution of operations. For some this is a result of operational inexperience, for others it's a result of how they recruit or rather who they recruit.

For the Saudis operational inexperience is a greater issue than pilot ability. However, their ability to run a campaign with over two hundred air craft from different nations conducting thousands of sorties is both a testament to their ambition and growing ability.

For the UAE and Qatar flying is often a part time job or hobby for their pilots, thus they often rely on contractors for a lot of their capabilities.

The downing of this F-16 much like the downing of the US F-117 may be a result of poor planning rather than pilot error.

.
Apply this to Iranians in Syria where 200,000 Syrians were killed due to barrel bombs and chemical weapons.

use some common sense.

Syria is defending.

Saudi is attacking.

Stop talking like that,he's an enlisted man fighting for his country. He had orders and he followed them.We shouldn't mock soldiers on a defence forum.

May he Rest In Peace.

Do not confuse yourself. He fought for another Country. Kings men and horses. all losers.

Kings men and horses have special rest and peace after they die while attacking the enemies of monarchs.

LOL! it is pure fight for monarchs instead for his own country. yemen has done nothing wrong to morocco.

A Moroccan F-16 and a Saudi AH-64 Apache both went down while operating over Yemen yesterday. The crew of the Apache has supposedly fallen into Houthi Rebel hands while the F-16’s pilot fate remains less clear, although grisly images of a body said to be located at the crash site are making their rounds on Twitter.

Details remain sketchy, but sources saythe Moroccan F-16 was hit by some sort of fire and its wingman did not see its crew eject. Morocco has pledged six of its Block 52+ F-16C/Ds to the Sunni Arab dominated coalition aimed at defeating Iranian backed Houthi Rebelsthat are nowin control of many of the Yemen’s most strategic locales. Morocco has 24 F-16s which are highly advanced and some of the newest in the world, with the whole fleet being delivered within the last five years.

Yemen tribal fighters downed a 2nd Saudi AH-64D Apache helicopter in Saada, capturing its two pilots

Meanwhile, near the Yemeni-Saudi border, photos have surfaced showing what appears to be a crashed Apache surrounded by vehicles. Both crew are reported to be alive but have fallen into Houthi Rebel hands. This comes after reports that another Saudi Apache was downed by Houthi Rebels on Thursday, aclaim that Saudi Arabia only partially disputes, saying that the attack chopper had technical difficulties and came down on their side of the border.

Regardless of what actually went on, the air campaign over Yemen has not stopped in any way as some reports suggested, in fact it is probably safe to say it has only become more volatile with every passing day.
Saudi Arabia has nearly 100 Apache attack helicopters and has been operating the type for decades. A dozen of the most advanced Apaches in the world, the AH-64E, began to arrive in The Kingdom during Fall of last year, and much of the existing fleet of AH-64As and Ds will be getting extensive upgrades in the coming years.

LOL, my Pashtun friend. Are you calling the Pakistani Air Force "Takfiris killing innocents" too when they are bombing Taliban strongholds in FATA? Civilians die in the plenty there as well. It's called war.

Also poor behavior to "hail" the death of a young pilot who just did his work as a fighter pilot.

Are we not on a military forum?

Oh, I forgot the Houthi terrorist cult are allied with your buddies and beloved "Arab" Mullah's of Iran so all is fine, I guess.

Anyway have no illusions the Houthi's will be dealt with. Already 2000 of them have been turned into fertilizer. More to follow!

Moroccan army says no evidence crashed jet pilot in Yemen died
Written by Reuters, Thursday, 14 May 2015

Morocco's army said on Wednesday there was no evidence the pilot of F-16 fighter jet that crashed during air strikes in Yemen has died and searches for him were still under way.

Backed by the United States, a Saudi-led coalition has been conducting air strikes against the Houthis and army units loyal to ex-president Ali Abdullah Saleh since March 26 with the aim of restoring the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

A Moroccan F-16 warplane taking part in the coalition went missing last Sunday but the fate of its pilot remains unclear.

The Houthis' official news channel al-Masirah said on Monday that anti-aircraft guns had downed the F-16 over in the remote Wadi Nashour area in the northwestern province of Saada, a Houthi stronghold bordering Saudi Arabia.

There was no news on the pilot in that TV report.

"No formal evidence has confirmed the death of F-16 jet pilot following the crash," the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) said in a statement carried by the state news agency MAP.

Analysis showed that photos and images of the crash released on websites and social media may have been manipulated, the statement said.

The FAR also condemned the publication of photos of the pilot in the Moroccan media, saying it could endanger his life.

Morocco announced its backing of Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the operation and has had F-16 warplanes stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Yemen's dominant Houthi group accepted a five-day humanitarian ceasefire proposed by its adversary Saudi Arabia on Sunday but said it would respond to any violations of the pause.
