With lofty Royal instructions, Mr. Abdellatif Lodi, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of the National Defense Department, received on Friday at the headquarters of the Department Mr. Liam Fox, the British Minister of International Trade, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, Mr. Liam Fox was accompanied by an important delegation, including Mrs. Emma Wade-Smith, High Commissioner for Trade for the African continent, and Mr. Thomas Riley, British Ambassador to Rabat.

During their talks, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries in many fields. And in this regard, the price of launching the strategic dialogue between the two kingdoms in 2018, which includes the political dimensions - diplomatic, economic, military, security and cultural.

The communique highlighted that this strategic dialogue opens new horizons to deepen the historical relations between the two kingdoms, which are characterized by the values of friendship and mutual respect.

On the military front, the two ministers exchanged views on prospects for bilateral cooperation. They also agreed that there are promising prospects for cooperation, particularly in defense industry.

In this connection, Mr. Loudey stressed the importance of integrating these perspectives into a mutually beneficial concept through permanent partnerships for investment and industrial development.

Moroccan-British military cooperation is structured and diverse. It is organized in particular by a framework agreement for military and technical cooperation, characterized by the regular convening of mixed military commissions and the exchange of visits by senior officials.
