US will try not to show it, but behind the scenes they will always work against Muslims getting too powerful. So do not expect any help from the US, expect harm. They will side with Indo-Awam's unless they are forced to accept an overwhelming popular upsurge in vote that cannot be overcome with Indo-Awami rigging.
Just watch the situations in Egypt and Syria.
US is controlled by Zionists, AIPAC etc., whatever sanity they had is lost because of this.
It is not just enough to have good relations, we actually have to choose sides and pitch in and get our hands dirty, in times of need, specially in war situations. People only trust people, when you shed your own blood for them, as simple as that.
And if India seriously starts making noise like this from official circles, then Bangladesh, if we can defeat the Awami's from power, we should consider a defense pact with Pakistan or China or both, if such options are available, as @
Pakistanisage mentioned in his post above. Desperate situation calls for desperate acts. But one always has to consider the worst case scenario in long term planning, so we should have thought about this long time ago, but better late than never.
There's absolutely no need for India to waste her precious resources. They can be put to better use elsewhere. After all, a target must be worthy enough for a nuke missile strike!
