True dat. In Lucknow too you have these cows roaming around. It seems Hindus have differing views on cow slaughter. I remember a guy telling me cow slaughter is extremely offensive to Hindus. Here and there then you have Hindus sacrificing cows themselves. Who to believe?

They mostly sacrifice buffaloes not cows. Although there is no mention of any type of animal sacrifice in ancient vedic scriptures. Due to ban on cow slaughter stray cows are one of main cause of road accidents here in India. Religious & political bodies didn't want to solve this menace they just play politics on this issue.
