More Japanese students prefer Chinese mainland to US

. .
This will bring more Japanese out of the brainwashing by Japanese education and Japanese governments. Hopefully they will also learn Mao thought and dare to stand up to the US occupation force. Drive out the last Western interference and East Asia will be back to its peaceful normal with its own harmony culture.

Before the coming of the West, there hadn't been a major among East Asian for nearly 200 years.

True, the Maoist movement was once strong in Japan.

to be honest i felt better on my business trip in china than india. Nothing against india but being send to india is basicly a penalty for european employee. Im sure it has its good sides as well but it looks chaotic and many aspects there are hard to accept

Sure, there are a lot of authentic Italian restaurants (operate by the Italian owners, cooked by Italian chefs, served by the Italian waiters/waitresses) in China if you don't like the Chinese cuisine, since China is trying to build itself like the center of the world.

Many western tourists (Italians or Italian-Americans) said that when they have eaten too many days of the Chinese foods, they would try to recover some home taste in China. And they also rated some Italian restaurants in Shanghai almost as good as those in Italy.

China can really hire a lot of professional chefs from Italy.

Curry is everywhere in Japan. And Italian pasta.

Thankfully in Taiwan not much food with curry, except in Japanese-style restaurants.

Oh don't act like you don't like curry! You know you like the yellow curry mixed with coconut milk , bathing the wonderful cooked chicken (or pork, i prefer pork) with lentils, some ginger, a bit of tamarind, green beans, bakchoy, some red peppers, and diced (finely that is) white potatoes. Oh voila ! Mon Deux! Orgasm in one's taste buds! lol.

LOL, oh the maoist movement in the 60s. You know they're still quite very vocal in Japan. :)

@TaiShang I'm sure you're friends with some Socialist-leaning academics in Japan? :)

I really do not like.

When I eat rice-warped in egg in Japanese-style restaurant, I order tomato-sauce rather than curry. It is just not my taste.

I like it if not too sticky.

I like Thai-style more, especially if a little sesame oil is added.

I have a close colleague from Japan and his auntie, as he told me, was a PM from the LDP. He is definitely not a Marxist. He opposes the US military presence/occupation in Japan but somehow rationalizes it.

Well perhaps you don't like the repugnant smell of some of the hard smelling variant. It gets some time used to it, there was a time when i used to eat chicken curry every day (being a poor graduate student at the time; one's limited resources...you know how it is..lol), and well, the smell of curry seeped into my clothing when i sweat. I used to bike to campus in UC so --- some folks used to complain why i smelled of curry powder, lol. :P

The reason for it i think was because i used the really strong curry (the red curry). Better to use the lighter curry like yellow or green. Its more merciful on the pores, i suppose, lol.

You prefer the thai jasmine rice? they also have thai northern rice which is very sticky. Never did get used to using the fingers / hands to eat. I can eat with that style if i have to, or to be respectful, but i prefer using chopsticks. I just don't like the idea sometimes of food getting under my nails. :)
