Moody: India’s GDP crossed $3.5 trillion mark in 2022

.

There are two types of statistics in this world.

One is normal statistics, and the other is Indian statistics.

I just found out that Indians actually count the mileage of highways based on the number of lanes. A 4-lane highway is actually counted as the mileage of the lanes multiplied by 4.

Why? Just because it inflates the number doesn't mean it is wrong, since the term is also replaced with lane kilometres. You can construct a dozen lane road between Delhi and Kolkata of 1500km total length, but the same will be true for a single 1500km lane built between Delhi and Kolkata.

Reserve Bank of India projection for India Q1 2023 economic growth is 5.1 % which is still within my projection. We will see real number soon in the end of this month.
Our Q1 begins on April 1 and Q4 ends on March 31. As per RBI, our Q4 growth would be 5.1%(which is Q1 in many countries, while many are predicting between 4.9 to 5.5%.

RBI has estimated Q4FY23 Real GDP growth to be 5.1 per cent and full year FY23 estimates by NSO is 7.0 per cent. For 2023-24, RBI is projecting GDP growth at 6.5 per cent with Q1 pegged at 7.6 per cent. SBI’s ANN (Artificial Neural Network) model, based on 30 high frequency indicators from key sectors, and tuned/trained to project the GDP numbers forecasts the quarterly GDP growth for the Q4FY23 at 5.5 per cent. At this rate, India’s GDP growth for FY23 is likely at 7.1 per cent
