I think the reason why that a lot of people are okay with Genghis is because it happened a long time ago as opposed to Hitler. Even though you can just open a history book & see that he clearly is evil.

There's a reason why people called the mongol a "scourge from god." Also it happened in Medieval period a time where people actually died less from conflict.
