Yes,a pro Russian party won the elections with 21% of the votes but the 3 pro European parties together in a coalition will have 57-58 seats out of 101 in the new Parliament and will nominate the President,will still be in power, and will keep the country away from Russia.

(Reuters) - Moldova's pro-Europe parties appeared certain on Monday of being able to form a new coalition to press on with a drive toward the European mainstream after elections even though the pro-Moscow Socialist Party took first place.

With almost all votes counted from Sunday's poll, election authorities said the Liberal Democrats, the Liberals and the Democratic Party had secured a combined vote of 44 percent, enough to win a simple majority in the 101-seat parliament and form a new government team.

The presidents of Poland, Romania and Ukraine and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had backed the pro-EU campaign in the vote that analysts said was a litmus test of the country's aspirations.

"If the pro-European parties win, Moldova's course towards European integration could become irreversible," said Arcadie Barbarosie, executive director of the Institute for Public Policy in Chisinau.

"If Moldova turns back towards the customs union (with Russia), however, it risks remaining forever in Russia's sphere of influence," he said.

Controversially, a pro-Russian party, Patria or Motherland, was excluded from the vote days before the polls over alleged illegal financing from abroad.

Around 78 percent of Moldova's population is ethnic Romanian, while Ukrainians and Russians account for around 14 percent.

Voters on Sunday cast ballots for a 101-seat parliament to serve a four-year term, with parties needing to win at least six percent to gain seats under proportional representation rules.

Yep,let's see what they do with it.Truth be told the guys seem incompetent fucktards (not that the pro Russians are better) the only reason they won is because of Romanian money recently pumped into the country (to build new schools,a new gas pipeline from us with cheaper gas,financing the pro Romania-pro EU media,donations) our politicians campaigning for them,the fact that after they were embargoed by Russia, Romania took their merchandise in (becoming in the process their biggest trading partner,surpassing Russia for the first time since 1992),etc.The country needs reforms ,not cheap talks about democracy.

To put it simply,Moldova in its current form is a failed state and their politicians who like to suck at 2 tits (Romania/EU-Russia) as they've done for the past 22 years will have to choose:Join Romania or become a Russian gubernia once again.Their dreams of an independent state failed miserably and it won't survive.I know that they like ruling that 3.5 million people country as their feud (both the commies and the pro europeans) but theit atempts at nation building failed miserably .The time to choose is nearing,let's put aside the "help us brothers!" routine which became an excuse to shake us down for money and let's talk the real talk.

Those migrants in Russia are actual Russians which you brought in cattle trains as the native Romanians were deported in Siberia.You can keep them.

Strictly economy-wise, Russia seemed to be the right option. There isn't much EU can offer these days. They have too many problems of their own. Meanwhile Russia is desperately looking for new friends, they could have really helped out Moldova.
As I said I am speaking based on economy and not politics.

The Russians helped them with Transnistria War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and by keeping occupying troops in Moldova.As for the economy,the only country that gave/still gives free money for Moldova is Romania and we're not that rich you know.Why didn't the Russians pump money in Moldova when the communists were in power ? Because they want a poor Moldova to subjugate.
