Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aide Amit Shah is all set to be BJP's president as RSS has cleared his name. According to Headlines Today, the formal announcement is likely to be made before June 28.

There were other leaders vying for this coveted post, but Amit Shah's emphatic performance in Uttar Pradesh during Lok Sabha polls has turned the scales in his favour. BJP's unprecedented performance in Uttar Pradesh proved Amit Shah's organisational skills. The BJP won 71 out of the 80 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP registered its best ever performance in Uttar Pradesh. In 1998, the party won 57 seats in an undivided Uttar Pradesh which then had 85 seats.

This propped up his stature in the party and the fact that he enjoys complete confidence of Modi makes him the most suited person for this post.

Apart from that, he is considered to be an organisational man and this is going to benefit the BJP in the upcoming state elections in the coming months.

I dont want him to be president. I want him to work behind the scenes to enable BJP to capture Maharashtra and Delhi

Not a very good decision. He would have done much better as chief strategist. West Bengal, Assam and Odisha to some extent are ripe for BJP. He will now be stuck with petty issues of idiot leaders.

It was high time that Modi start governing India from just governing a state & he din't shied away.........

Same way it's time that from handling BJP state units, Amit shah needs to handle whole of BJP (read whole of India rather just 2-3 states) & he will not shy away either.

And what happens to the pending Tulasiram Prajapati fake encounter case???
What if he's not cleared from it???

. .
BJP president is not a constitutional post so no conflict
This is a powerful post so how would we know if he would use this post to influence ppl who're investigating the case or not??

I dont support the decision of making Amit shah BJP president.

Just simple...Bengalis should stop voting for her.

Rigging in Bengal election is a scientific mechanism that had been mastered by CPI M which kept them in power for so long. Those professional rigging experts have joined TMC now. If TMC to be dismounted from power this mechanism has to break.
