The BJP was in a damage control mode over its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's remarks on Article 370 which sparked off an acrimonious political debate. While the BJP claimed that Modi's comments on Article 370 have been misinterpreted, Jammu and Kashmir parties and Congress lashed out at him.

The article has outlived its utility and about time it is scrapped/diluted.
BJP's stand on the article is quite clear from the Days of Atalji and Modi hasn't said anything different. Heres his speech

He has only called for a renewed debate and there is nothing wrong in it.
