Unlike other parties in india(except communists) BJP runs on set of principles...no one person takes decisions
..BJP executes the ideas of RSS...it is RSS that runs the show( i think you saw yesterday the only other person who sat with Modi in puja was Mohan Bhagawat, the RSS leader)....
If Modi goes some other person takes his place...and implement RSS ideology...BJP is not a party of individuals...it is a party of colllective group which shares same ideas, beliefs and principles which are nationalistic.
Of course Modi has charisma...he is a crowd puller...but he wouldnt have been where he is without the backing and blessing of RSS...he is neither rich nor from any political family...it is only the support and encouragement of RSS which allowed him to first become CM of guj and later PM of india.
To sum up ,Modi alone wont(or cant) take decisions in matters like scrapping of article 370 ..there is entire RSS behind it.
