Modi calls Bangabandhu “hero for all Indians”

Using his followers who have declared him hero :azn:
Please analyze the 1970 election results. His party, PAL failed to get elected in only two seats, but it received only 53% of the total number of cast and uncast votes. So, he was not that hero. He wanted to share power with the military, he wanted Yahya Khan to remain the President of Pakistan. Please watch his 7 March speech. How many times did he utter his name respectfully? Janab Yahya Khan Sahab-------------, you are the President of the country--------.

But, Yahya chose to punish the nata Bangali by killing them for voting Mujib. This made him more than a hero. But, thanks to Yahya, Bhutto, Tikka Khan, Rao Farman Ali, Niazi and many other brainless PA Officers that we chose to fight them.

We do not regret the decision so that we are better off in the economic performance and we do not have Talebanism that is so widespread in your side of Pakistan.

So, Mujib Zindabad!!

In few past refernces, writers claim he was victim of Indian conspiracy behind his back. But he was in touch with Indian govt , military and running the Mukti B programs since 1969. He was in discomfort with Indians, but his key contacts and party wokers already surrendered to Indians.
You are imagining many things here without any proof. The only thing true in your post is the Indian conspiracy, but it is obvious that India would conspire to destabilize and divide Pakistan.

But, what your leaders did in 1971 proves only that they conspired to separate a very poor east from the very prosperous west. India came to the field seeing an opportunity in the way those brainless Pathans and Punjabis created a big issue out of nothing.

Yahya and Bhutto were part of the conspiracy and not Mujib. Mujib had to give his life only because he repulsed further Indian geopolitical advances during his tenure.

NEW DELHI, Mar 17, 2021 (BSS) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a “hero for all Indians” as he issued a tweet while Bangladesh’s started a 10-day nationwide celebrations to mark Bangabandhu’s birth centenary celebrations coinciding with golden jubilee of its independence.

“He (Bangabanadhu) is a hero for all Indians too. It will be my honour to visit Bangladesh later this month for the historic #Mujib Borsho celebrations,” read the tweet issued ahead of the formal beginning of the celebrations at Dhaka’s National Parade Square.

Modi, who is set to arrive in Bangladesh on a two-day tour from March 26 to join in person the celebrations also described Bangabandhu as a “champion of human rights and freedom”.

“My heartfelt homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a champion of human rights and freedom, on his birth anniversary,” he wrote.

The India premier is scheduled to visit Bangabandhu shrine at Tungipara, call on Bangladesh President M Abdul Hamid and hold talks with his counterpart Sheikh Hasina, visit two Hindu temples at Gopalganj and Shatkhira alongside joining the Independence Day celebrations at the Parade Square on the Independence Day on March 26.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Dr AK Abdul Momen will also call on the Indian premier, who is set to travel to a foreign country for the first time after the coronavirus pandemic outbreak.

just because at the moment you have some more dollars in your account doesn't mean that you are better, we just emerged from a 10 year War.
And yeah you are better while no country on earth has a mafia head as Army chief and you are better because your husband country can abduct your citizens, soldiers any one when ever they want and you cant do jack shit. Ask them to try it on LOC.

And those things you have talked about in between yahya and mujeeb it has happened to other politicians as well in Pak but they didn't tried to break country by taking help of enemy, for that you must have to be a traitor e.g "Bangabandhu"

Don't worry you'll get them in a pair one in Punjab and one in Khalistan.

And we thank India for creating Bangladesh .. now India on verge of losing Assam due to land erosion in Bangladesh.... good luck. Karachi already facing issues due Bangla people migration in last few decades.
Land erosion and land accretion both are happening in Bangladesh for thousands of years as a dynamic delta country. But the important fact is our land accretion is more than land erosion as our rivers carry 1.4 billion tons of silt every years. This silt deposited in Bay of Bengal and create new lands. Since 1950, we gained 2970 sq. km land in land accretion and lost 1180 sq. in land erosion due to change of river courses. The net gain is 1790 sq. km. This will continue in future as well and Bangladesh will gain another 1000 sq. km in the next 50 years. In fact entire southern Bangladesh was formed by this process over thousands of years. Bangladesh's landmass is now bigger than what it received originally in 1947 Partition.

Country gets new land
Study reveals 1,790sq km landmass emerges out of Bay for incredible rate of sedimentation

India is not loosing Assam. There is no large scale migration from Bangladesh in Assam in the last 50 years. Mass migration from East Bengal to Assam largely ceased in 1930s. Assam has a high Muslim population all along. In 1951 census, Assam had 25 percent Muslim population. Now it has risen to 35 percent due to higher fertility rate among Muslims. Even if Assamese Muslims become majority(unlikely as fertility rate among Assamese Muslims are rapidly declining and converging with Hindus), there is no risk of Assamese Muslims trying to secede. Infact Assamese Muslims are the only people in Assam who never formed any insurgency. They are loyal citizen of India and will remain so.

Karachi's many of the so called Bengali migrants are actually Biharis. Some Bengalis also migrated in Pakistan in 1960s and 1970s and they were loyal to Pakistan. No sane Bangladeshi will go to Pakistan now. In fact we don't have any flight to Pakistan as there is no demand. If Karachi had ''millions of Bengali'' then at least you would have seen many of them frequenting to Bangladesh or many Bangladeshis are going there. This is how diapora relations are maintained. But we don't see such things between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Do you think Bangladesh should take the best son of its land, Arnob Goswami, back home from India?

It boggles my mind how Arnob, a Bangaladesi illegal migrant from Assam, wants to deport all Bengalis to Bangladesh, and to give them Indian citizenship through CAA at the same time.

I do not understand. My brain broke.

Arnab Goswami is ethnic Assamese. He has no relation with Bangladesh. Assam has many residents whose ancestors migrated from East Bengal(present Bangladesh) during British period. But that was within the same country. So it can not be termed as illegal migration. The best analogy can be given to Han migration to Manchuria and inner Mongolia in 19th and early 20th century. The Han migration to that two places was even greater than European migration to Americas. But it happened within the same country.

But East Bengal origin migration to Assam largely ceased in 1930s as there was no more virgin land to put under cultivation. After 1947 partition when India and East Bengal separated based on religion, many Hindus went there as a part of partition related population exchange. But this pre and post partition migration from East Bengal enraged ethnic Assamese, who fear turning into minority in their namesake province. In the last 50 years, there was very little if any migrants flow from independent Bangladesh to Assam. Assam is a state more backward and poorer than Bangladesh, unlike a century ago, there is no extra land need to be cultivated there, Assam state has no industry, no big urban center, no surplus agriculture, not much economic activities to attract migrants. In fact Assamese themselves are leaving for other part of India due to lack of opportunity in their home state. Why should any Bangladeshi move in that place to experience xenophobia and poverty? Our skilled and unskilled labors are mostly absorbed by our thriving cities and a portion goes to Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore. Skilled one goes to Europe and America. Why Assam? when so much better opportunities available throughout the world?

Like Hindutvas say - a "Lungi" can never be a hero for Indians. Is he mad?
