When in actual line of fire,he might not be able to utter the "hands" word completely from his month before he gets an unexpected response.And that'll be so unfortunate.
That guy is either a threat to himself & the team or is a good distraction.
I hope that it's none of the above.I must put that it's a suicidal thing to do in such a scenario.

RescueRanger sir have already listed most of it.
Very poor building entry tactics & BTW no smoke grenades,ballistic sheilds 'wagera' were used even in those empty premises after the evacuation.May be the footage didn't cover that.One couldn't see any gas masks either.So i'll stick with that assumption.
Everyone can understand that it's a limited clip.

Hand signals instead of 1 2 3 doesn't cost much either.

Just Topi Drama, nothing more. Reasons:

1. Only a small element mostly CTD / Elite -- no outer cordon, no inner cordon, no briefing section, no C2C vehicle, no involvement of Rescue 1122/EMS/Fire or any other agency.
2. Didn't make sense if Commander ( which in this case would be an SSP) was concerned in deliberate entry or breach and hold.
3. No pyrotechnic or distortionary devices used, No stacked breach, no man breach cover breaching with entry element no one covering the door, no one checking the rear.
4. One chap was "acting" breaching without a helmet, shabash very professional young man!
5. Compliance commands " Hands up" in Engrazi, wa bahi someone has been watching John Woo movies again.
5.The fact that actual students were in the premises and alarmed stinks of unprofessionalism, imagine if the students over reacted and jumped from height or caused a stampede?
6. Mock drill means you carry it out in a controlled environment, where you can practice your drills, dissect each manuvere and improve on it. This was not a drill, just a topi drama, my guess that IG Punjab woke up and said, Kursi ko khatra hain, kohi harkat karo. Harkat mey Barkat!

exactly janab, they should have involved the Emergency services too, i read about this Met Police drill and the one conducted after Aussie attack, EMT, Fire Crews were inolved too, extracting casualties and all ----

- if i know correctly then when breaching a door, when aims constantly at the door incase Tango decides to shooot through the door - one breaches and other covers the back side ----
- too make it look more realistic, a Lab or room should have been empited and Cardboard / Paper target should have been placed for Team to practice fire on - using Airsoft ----

The reason i posted this is because you can see how poorly they were clearing the rooms. You don't need original weapons to to do the CQB, all over the world units do it with airsoft guns. Only if our governments were serious about police reforms they should have done it earlier.

Yeah! great! Start an operation without warning the students within who were running around like idiots. It could have caused a stampede or something. Or someone might have fired at the LEA's thinking they are terrorists. Terrorists often use clothes of security forces for attacks

The team could've been killed within the opening minutes of the rescue.
It seems they're confusing clearance and hostage rescue as well.
You can't see any rolling-T or serpentine technique in the hallways.

Elite was formed keeping in mind the counter insurgency operations, but they are giving VIP protocols. Another anti terror unit was raised with high pays, i don't know what happened to that either
