MKEK BORA-12 SniperRifle won Pakistani sniper tender

According to Pakistani engineer, Firstly, Pakistan had required the rifles participated into tender with their own munitions ballistic calculations made but When contenders arrived in test field, Pakistani officials made a surprise for contenders and gave them just 5 Pakistani made bullets requiring to make a new ballistic calculations for every contenders to accurately fire them against targets. According to him, Everybody was shocked and fired their bullets without ballistic calculations. At day trials Only Bora-12 collected 4 of totally 5 bullets on target within 1000m.

At night trials with thermals, English side didn't want to "correct" their rifles and demand same to apply for Turkish side as well as a tactic to dispense Turkish side and Pakistani officials agreed on this offer. In that case, Night Trials performed without making any corrections on rifles as well.

Both 300m and 600m trials with thermals in night, Only Bora-12 collected 5 bullets on a small area on target.

As Pakistani engineer said, "We are really good and only talking in field" ;)

I think he meant that Bora_12 is the best of best ??

Nope.

There is a new Sniper Rifle Scheduled for Next Year. A new DARPA-funded electro-optical system which can calculate the ballistics and signal where to aim and ensuring a perfect shot, no matter the weather conditions.

It will measure atmospheric conditions, account for the weapon’s maximum effective range and include GPS coordinates. It’s also supposed to communicate with the rifle scope, informing the gun itself of the aim point offset and expected crosswind.

USA !

.
As for now, the corps already field the M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System. The rifle allows shooters to rapidly engage targets out to 800 meters with match-grade 7.62mm ammunition, especially in scenarios requiring multiple follow-up shots.

Great, superb engineer!

Is it possible Arif Seyit (Arif Syed) export to Pakistan ?

We should use this sniper to shoot NATO helicopters pilots who attacked recent Pakistan Army. We need to deploy thousand snipers in distances!

Sorry, I forgot Turkey is NATO member, this guy should quit the job!
man u are really cracking me up like seriously

I think we are already Producing PSR 90 under licence from H&K ?

7.62 sniper rifle? Don't we have plenty of those ?
I thought it fired something bigger like the Lapua Magnum or the .50 BMG

But that is aiming sight.. NOT the rifle.
it is designed to be standard on the piccany rails or something.
In theory..it could bolt onto any rifle caliber.

The PSR 90 is a semi automatic sniper rifle which would inherently be less accurate while giving other advantages. The Bora 12 on the other hand is a bolt action rifle which has other strong points when compared to a semi automatic rifle. Both will be used.

The barrel seems pretty small for a sniper rifle.

But what the heck!
