Minor girl raped in Faisalabad – The Express Tribune
FAISALABAD: A minor girl was raped in the Kanjwani area of Faisalabad on Saturday, Express News reported.
It has been reported that the girl was playing in a market area when she was picked up by unknown persons, who raped her.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and investigations were underway.
Police claimed that five suspects linked to the incident had been arrested. Two of the suspects are reported to be brothers.
The victim is reported to be in critical condition and will be transferred to Allied Hospital.
A five-year old was earlier kidnapped and brutally raped in Lahore.
The girl was found outside a hospital at around 8pm on Friday a day after she went missing from a low-income neighbourhood in Lahore.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had ordered the police chief of Punjab province to inform the court about the progress of the investigation after hearing reports about the rape victim late Friday.
