Claiming that the situation in Karachi improved after Supreme Court’s verdict in the law and order suo motu case, DG Rangers Major General Rizwan Akhtar said that militant wings of political parties are responsible for the ongoing violence in the city, a private T.V. channel reported on Wednesday. The DG Rangers appeared before the apex court’s Karachi registry today for proceedings regarding implementation of orders passed in the suo motu case. Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry headed the five-member bench, which also comprises Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Muhammad Athar Saeed and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, as its members. Explaining the recent surge in violence, the DG Rangers said the political parties were receiving Fitra during Ramazan and the situation was calm in the city but as the money has stopped coming in, the political parties are creating problems. He further said that violence increases as soon as political workers are released from police custody on bail. Issuing remarks on the comments made by the DG Rangers, the chief justice questioned who will terminate the militant wings. Background The proceedings are based on a suo motu notice taken by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry after the city went through one of its bloodiest summers in August 2011. The five-judges had passed a detailed judgment which contained various orders and directions on how to control lawlessness in the port city. A year later, the apex court had initiated follow-up proceedings to see to what extent the authorities at different levels had implemented its orders. The supreme court really takes action when LEJ or ASWJ terrorists are killed. That is the only time the supreme court appears active. Before that no one cared about the killing and murder of Pakistani citizens in Karachi daily by the MQM, PPP and other parties.

Whats the proof to my claims? Check the news yesterday. An ASWJ militant was shot yesterday. We need to take severe action against the terrorists but the only thing we have done so far is to provide shelter to them instead of finishing them off. Instead the law enforcement agencies chase innocents. I don't know when my country will get out of the giant mess it is in right now.

Judges cant do anything. Its only across the board operation clean up or should i say Operation Encounter. Police will keep on making weaker cases and courts will keep on releasing these criminals. Police needs to learn new interrogation and investigation techniques rather then relying on CHITAR only.

Still do there was a thrid force there is a third force , the militant wings in political parties exist for the same reason .. what isnt rocket science to understand is one has to defend , whilst there is some one else on offence.

MQM itself accepted they have some bhatta khaurs,china cutters & land grabbers. BUT EVEN MQM didn't hand them over to the police or expose them.

similarly the miltants of PPP and ANP even if known to ANP & PPP are not known to the common man!

if any of these militant wings are targeted by ARMY (who will be non political) then the POLITICAL PARTIES will play victim card.


so bhai bringing in army is like shooting yourself in the foot. unless ALL parties agree that no matter what if our guys are targeted we won't cry & play victim card!

How many time you people will defend MQM??
I know that a Months ago, people were saying that MQM cannot give vote to PMLN candidate, this is impossible Blah blah and no alliance is possible with PMLN. Ab to bara bhaie ban geya hai.
Same people were supporting Tahir ul qari and MQM support to them, suddenly U turn and Now ranting Blah Blah...
