MiG 35 FOR NAVY

Mig 29K is carrier based aircraft and mig 35 is just a prototype as of now, the difference between mig 29k and mig 35 is very little. the wiki says Mig 29k also has AESA radar :).

As of now we do not have catapults on our AC's and this is needed for Rafale M, the only other aircraft that we can operate on our AC's is F35 which is also in Prototype stage.

correct me if I am wrong:)

The mig29 has one of the worst safety record of any bird ever flown.

Over 160 crashed and burned and still counting.

The mig29 a winner?

Only if you want to win a seat in heaven.

If that does not sway you, let's look at the kills between the two.

The F18 has more kills than any other modern aircraft.

How many does the Mig29 have?

Moreover, F18's have killed Migs wholesale.

.S. F-18 Kill Records:

5 Iraqi Mig-29 Fulcrums
7 Iraqi Mirage F-1's
8 Iraqi Mig-23's

3 Iarqi SU-7/17
1 Iraqi MI-24 Hind
2 Iraqi SU-22 Fitters
2 Iraqi MIG-25 Foxbats
4 Serbian Mig-29 Fulcrums
1 Afghan MI-24 Hind (F-15E)

Mig 29 1 unconfirmed.

New Delhi: The MiG-29, which was thought to be one of India's most potent weapons, is a defective aircraft. The stunning disclosure that the MiG-29 is structurally flawed was made in Parliament by Defence Minister A K Antony

Oh how many crashes do F-16's have?

You do know that the US lost 128 F-16 just from 1995-2007 right? And the F-16 has been in service since the late 1970's.

Notice all of the kills and who they where against, mostly pethetic Arab pilots flying outdated aircraft.

Remember what the Israelis were doing to Mig-21's but when when Pakistani pilots got ahold of the Mig-21 the Israelis were the ones that were being shot down, so obviously it's more about the pilot than the aircraft.

Also while you're at it see what outdated German Mig-29's did to F-16 and F-18 in mock combat.

Study your history look at what Russian pilots (not Korean) did to the Sabre over Korea:

If we are going to go back to the Korean War why dont we just go on back to World War II or even World War I. But in more recent times...

The combat record of the MiG-29 speaks for itself. American F-15s and F- 16s (a Dutch F-16 shot down a MiG-29 during Operation Allied Force) have downed MiG-29s every time there has been encounters between the types. The only known MiG-29 ?victories? occurred during Operation Desert Storm when an Iraqi MiG-29 shot down his own wingman on the first night of the war and a Cuban MiG-29 brought down 2 ?mighty? Cessnas. Are there more victories for the Fulcrum? Not against F-15s or F-16s.

Fanboy

Again who was flying the Mig-29's and who was flying the F-15's and F-16's? What we have are two extreems, on one hand we have some of the worst pilots ever to walk the earth (Arab pilots) and some of the best trained pilots (Nato and Israel). Than you're forgetting other factors, such as tactics, and not just individual pilot skill but tactics as a collective whole, arab pilots were poorly tained and their tactics were just awful and outdated. Then start factoring in other factors such as how the US and Israeli forces often bombed critical command and control centers leaving the opposing airforces crippled while at the same time the US often enjoyed AWACS support. And once again, there was reports that Serbian Mig-29 didn't even have functioning radars, that is how outdated and poorly maintained the Mig's were.

Again i don't need to remind you what Mig-29s did to F-16's and F-18's in mock combat. Those mock dogfights are as real as it gets, if it was in real life those F-16's and F-18's would be kills for the Mig-29.

Kind of funny isnt it, if India just had the Migs they have crashed they would have one of the largest air forces in the world. On the rest like Arabs cant fight and USA and Israel dont play fair you might be right. I expect in the next real air war and there will be one sooner or later the USA is going to come up with some advanced weapons that are going to be a real nasty surprise.

For your information, the MiG-29s have a good operational record in India. In fact, our existing MiG-29s are being upgraded while the Indian Navy has placed an order for MiG-29Ks.

By the MiGs which crashed if you mean the MiG-21s, I don't see how that is related to this topic.
