The Hindu is reporting the aircraft to me a Mig-29. Sadly, the pilot is killed.
Pilot killed as MiG-29 crashes in Anantnag - The Hindu

Look at the bloody avionics and flight performance on the Tejas. It is arguably the best 4+ Gen aircraft present in the world (Gripen C/D,F 16 A/B,early C block,JF 17 included). IAF is either stupid or deliberately holding out.Man I really hope that Modi sarkar stuffs the Tejas down IAF's throat after MOD comes under him next week. Whatever it may be, but a brand new Tejas is anyday better than a 30 years old fatigued old jet. It has not crashed even once, it has modern systems and has cleared all tests.
WTF is taking so long then? Shows there was corruption.
Time to kick out the Bisons as well and order 200+ Tejas while being upgraded from time to time. But first get them in.
India should not to fly MIG 21, when parts sold to the third world countries, but also to recover some of the cost.
--Yes it is a bison.
And he is Squadron Leader Raghu Bansi.
--And true story is
I solely blame MOD and DRDO/HAL for this tragic loss of life.
