Japan recognizes the existence of Taiwan through our own bilateral accords. Whilst countries recognize the 1 China Policy, many countries still recognize the existence of Taiwan as a state and have diplomatic relations with it.

In regards to Japan; we hold Taiwan as a strategic value. We will defend Taiwan , in conjunction with Taiwanese, United States allied defense platforms in the event that its existence is under military attack.

The full might of the Japan Self Defense Force will be mobilized in the neutralization of this threat.

US couldn't do jack to the 1950's China it ain't touching China in the 21st century.

You got only 6 Aegis destroyers and bunch of outdated crap. Jap military don't have any capability to counter our ballistic and cruise missiles. Our capability is only increasing as more air and sea platforms can deliver these missiles.
