Okay folks, so its possible I may be going beyond official sources to come up with my MBA assignment . But due to the fact that everything on google is mostly related to how these companies perform and not on how they are organized as companies and how their employee structure is. I thought I should abuse my position here and get some input from those that are involved.

A key question that I do have, is what are the differences in employee experiences and expectations from these two giants?

Even the smallest constructive input would be appreciated.

Mucho Gracias in Advance

MY Brother works in Reliance, BSNL I believe is a Government of India enterprises so they may have fix hierarchical chain and recruitment procedure, where as at Reliance the hierarchical chain is huge and crazy and is on a need basis i.e. if they want to hire you and your profile does not fit any designation then they will make one designation for you

My friend works for BSNL..
BSNL is divided into two segment BSNL landline and Cellone..
1) Landline part has very old but good system of employment hyrarchy.. Lets see, there is a GM in every district, then this district offices has their own exchanges(large offices of bsnl) and then each city has their own little exchanges and DT officer(director of Telecom:undecided:)...

Then comes SDO (Sub-divisional officer) has salary of around 50-55k INR..

Then JTO (Junior telecom officer), any technical branch graduate can give exam for this post..

Then TTA (don't know its full form) but works mostly under JTO and looks after faults in any line..

Then atlast we have TM/PM (Telephone/Phone mechanic) they work to give new landline connections, broadband connections, see the faults, for installing new cables,etc..And they work within their range e.g they are mostly given 300-400 numbers and they have to take care of that area..

And there are permanent/non-permanent labours in bsnl who mostly does the hard work like digging the land for underground cables and climbing poles etc..
Rest of all the above posts are permanent post..
