China will not fight for Myanmar. If BD was to invade and annex the whole of Arakan, I doubt that it will even downgrade relations with BD to be honest. If China is ever to become a developed country, it needs to bring a large chunk of humanity on it's side and putting it's neck on the line for Myanmar won't help in this endeavour.

That will be a stupid move. It will put BD in a very tough spot. You won't gain nothing from it, primarily because Myanmar will defend any such move with tooth and nail. Fighting a conventional war with MM will only make situation in BD more bad. You are already in a developing phase.

Think about the countries in Asia that are already enemies of China - India, S Korea, Japan, Vietnam. Does China keep wanting to add more just to please Myanmar? By intervening to save Mynamar it won't be just BD that it will piss off but many more as well.

If I'm being honest with you. BD is yet to make any considerable influence outside South Asia. I don't think China will loss anything by making BD it's enemy. China is only seen as a threat to India. It hasn't become like a 'Pakistan'. We still do business with them. As is the case with the countries you mentioned. China is just a threat, not a dire enemy.

The real power in the equation is BD. If BD had a government that had the initiative to deal with Myanmar, then this situation would not have arisen in the first place. BD weakness has emboldened Mynamar.

There isn't anything that BD could've done to stop this situation.

BD annexes northern Arakan and the Rohingya refugess can all be settled there.
Myanmar can expel all remaining Rohingya from it's territory to BD and they will all be accepted - even Hindus
Rohingyas become BD citizens and then BD and Myanmar can have normal relations.

A weak and coward BD keeps low profile like it is now, a brave BD would directly intervene, but a diplomatic BD would help the ARSA and other groups in Arakan in clandestine. So, for now it is the first option BD has chosen like any coward nation would do, kowtowing others, showing its smiling teeth however hard it is kicked on the ***, and weeping and complaining to others.

BD bought rice from Burma only a few days before. How shameful it is. China and Russia at UNSC will not change their present position unless BD is able to act on its own.
